Think Saturdays pvp event will be my deciding factor on a 100% purchase .
Hope more people are able to get it to work cause it is one heck of an adventure game.

Damn bet you feel stupid now re-reading all your comments in the past 2/3 months naysaying aoc..

These statements are about more than "technical" or " children" issues...

Notice how you ridicule the name several times as well...

Have to go with VG. AoI jus looks like a gimmick . There is nothing mature about  blood and boobies. Maturity is a level of personality ,ambition. Think Vanguard can better then AoC given the right circumstances., like performance, quest flow and getting back tot he original theory of the game.

AoI (Age of Immaturity) seems like a fast buck for Funcom, nothing more, how much faster to make money then blood and boobs ?

From what I am reading, the final client will not have any testing on it what so ever ? That is how I see it... The current "open beta" client is not the closed beta client ? and the closed beta client iis not the "gold" client ??

I can honestlly say if this is true, this game is a failure, it is one of the worst handled beta testing scheduling that I've ever read. Who ever created this trio client procedure needs to be fired. Greanted this has nothing do with the over all game mechanics, but as testing go, you will never find bugs testing a game this way. Clsed beta client should always be the current work in progress build, it is just outstanding that this is how they chose to run there testing....

Funcom is almost making Sigil look good, that's scary.... Think it will be clear, under pressure, Funcom doesn't do well.

looks like a path , from a signle player game ? From this it seems they really didn't give to much thought  intoi a pure PC mmo. Just a lot os fancy graphics, with little player building content.

It is a ridiculous way to test a overly hyped game. It leaves you with only 2 razor sharp courses, and no middle ground, complete success , or utter failure. Poor strategic planing as well as bad project management, the things that killed Vanguard .

Please don't alienate the new disciples. Their ways were wrong and they were astray, but they are now on the path to enlightenment. They are now one of the flock.

Now if only I'd manage to squeeze the word gospel in there somewhere...

With the current OB patch I see about 75% performance boost, alos have the game on my new hard drive, so I am not sure if that is a factor or not, the load times are cut in half as well. Very impressed atm. The pvp will be interesting..

Running the game on max setting as well

I think he should be allowed to change his mind, I did. I was very skeptical as to wether FC could deliver even half the features they were promising last year. However thanks to push backs and some changes it looks promising and I've been brainwashed into a state of fanboism.

I've even pre-ordered, the only thing that could change my mind right now is if FC signed a deal with SOE in any shape or form.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. I agree...but, say you are not a naysayer...and well...gotta fix that quote...lol

But, as has been seen...the fix is well done, and has changed many minds

Give the poor guy a break. Saying anything negative about this game gets you ganked by a load of AoC religious zealots.

    ---

On a more serious note, I remember the VG launch and I was one of the relatively lucky ones (1 in a 10000) who happened to have a system that the game ran quite well on. You know what killed the game for me? not the performance issues or the bugs but the lack of players as everyone else was having huge technical problems and quit. And if you mentioned your problems on the forums, BAM! the zealots were all over you like limp spaghetti. Guess some things never change.

Come on, you know that AoC doen't even come close to matching the epic amount of hate and fanboism that Vanguard mustered. I would blame Brad "Got any pescription meds?" McQuaid myself, he did nothing to help VG and everything to hinder it then set it up for a massive flop. McQuaid deliberatley mislead the VG community and at times just lied through his teeth, not just to us but Microsoft and Smedley.

Sigil enters the crash and burn catagorey of MMORPG companies, like Farlan. Funcom does not. McQuaid was a liar and awfull businessman, as certain individuals at SOE noted in a meeting "A no talent weenie". Trod Arne is a polar opposite to that. Vanguard was a piece of crap thrown together in the span of 8 months to a year, didn't work on 90% of computers and was full of bugs. AoC isn't perfect but let's be realistic here!

The community is nowhere near as bad as the Vanbois faithfull, who were on a crusade to stamp out the "Infidel complainers" and spread the "Vision of potential". I'm an AoC fanbois (for now) and really I feel disturbed by being thrown into the same catagorey as a Vanbois! Do I really come across as a spotty kid attempting "MMO conversion by the flame"?

If AoC turns into this on the forums I will cry, alot.

It's sort of amusing seeing people like the OP who have nothing better to do than bash video games on a forum for months at a time.  It's almost sickening that people go to such lengths to insult and just be an all around jerk to people who try to show their love for a video game.  I think the term fanboi is pretty over used insult. The ones who actually use it are too insecure in their own decisions that they have to resort to putting other people down.  I really don't understand why anyone would feel the need to try to humiliate and insult someone because they like a game.  I guess that's just the nature of kids these days.

As for the OP and everyone else like him  who has spent so much time hating on a video game, and has called the community immature and putting down anyone who would even defend the game, I feel sorry for you but I am glad you finally realized you were wrong.  It's too bad you'll just be another one of those immature players you complained so heavily about.
