13 Year Old Steals Dad's Credit Card to Buy Hookers (To play Halo)

A 13 year old from Texas who stole his Dad's credit card and ordered two hookers from an escort agency, has today been convicted of fraud and given a three year community order.
Ralph Hardy, a 13 year old from Newark, Texas confessed to ordering an extra credit card from his father's existing credit card company, and took his friends on a $30,000 spending spree, culminating in playing "Halo" on an Xbox with a couple of hookers in a Texas motel.
The credit card company involved said it was regular practice to send extra credit cards out as long as all security questions are answered.
The escort girls who were released without charge, told the arresting officers something was up when the kids said they would rather play Xbox than get down to business.
Police said they were alerted to the motel by a concerned delivery clerk, whom after delivering supplies of Dr Pepper, Fritos and Oreos had been asked by the kids where they could score some chicks and were willing to pay. They explained they had just made a big score at a "World of Warcraft" tournament and wanted to get some relaxation. On noting the boys age the delivery clerk informed the authorities.
When police arrived at the motel they found $3,000 in cash, numerous electronic gadgets, an Xbox video console with numerous games, and the two local escort girls.
Ralph had reportedly told police that his father wouldn't mind, as it was his birthday last week and he had forgot to get him a present. The father, a lawyer said he had been too busy, but would take him on a surprise trip to Disneyland instead.
Asked why he ordered two escorts, Ralph said he thought it was the thing to do when you win a "World of Warcraft" tournament. They told the suspicious working girls they were people of restricted growth working with a traveling circus, and as State law does not allow those with disabilities to be discriminated against they had no right to refuse them.
The $1,000 a night girls sensing something up played "Halo" on the Xbox with the kids, instead of selling their sexual services.
Ralph's ambition is to one day become a politician.

Since he wishes to be a politician, he must be practicing the having major scandals part of that profession.

There is so much humor here that's it's tough to find one particular spot to poke fun at.
I think my favorite part is where the 'escorts' stayed to play Halo. I guess hookers will do anything for a buck.
I think this parent is more than a little out of touch here. I mean his kid is committing credit fraud to steal thousands of dollars for hotel rooms and hookers, and the father is planning a surprise trip to Disneyland? The father is thinking Mickey Mouse and the kid is thinking is Playboy Bunny.

I take that to mean the kid told that paragraph to the police, but I could be wrong. The fact that the father doesn't even open his own credit card mail and has security questions so easy his 13 year old can get a credit card, does imply the father is less than adequate.

Before I had even read the part about him wanting to be a politician, the first thing I thought was...is his dad Eliot Spitzer?
But I thought the funniest part is what the cops found when they showed up at the hotel. Usually you expect to read something like, "cops found a wad of cash, 3 litres of coke, several firearms and two hookers." But in this story is was "$3,000 in cash, numerous electronic gadgets, an Xbox video console with numerous games and two escort girls."
And it sounds like the hookers were dying to get out of there when they told the cops that the kids wanted to play video games rather than "get down to business." I can picture the look on their faces when they showed up at the hotel room.

That was a truly strange story. I'm at loss of words entirely; why would you order hookers to play Halo? And say that you won a WoW tournament and think that the thing you did then was to order hookers?
My absolute favorite part. Everyone lives in fear of discriminating someone, so by just telling you are handicapped mean they can't do anything that could be considered as discriminating.
Sounds like he already knows the ropes of being a top politician. His dad must make alot of money though to open up a $30k line of credit.

That kid was pretty smart, coming up with a perfectly legal excuse like that, I'm just glad he wasn't able to pull it off in the end.

So I'm guessing hookers are beautiful women to you? This story is halarious though. I'm suprised he didn't mention GTA4 in that with the hookers. Maybe Halo can get some controversy now....sike. Yeah that kid was way too spoiled and I'm happy he didn't get away with it.

They wouldn't release a minor's name in a court proceeding. And if I'm not mistaken, in the UK (where this article came from) they wouldn't release a minor's name even if he'd commited murder.
