songs that you know? What are the three songs that make you want to jump off a bridge when you hear them? My 3 in no real order...
1. No Surprises by Radiohead
2. The River by Bruce Springsteen
3. Sam Stone by John Prine
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Give a fish a man and he will eat for a month!
Comments
1. Mambo Number 5
2. Blame it on the Rain
3. Electric Youth
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
1. Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
2. Greenday - Boulevard of Broken Dreams (way overplayed)
3 Caramelldansen (will probably make you catch "the gay")
1. Mad World - Gary Jules
2. Vermillion Pt. 2 - Slipknot (only because of something I'm going through) www.youtube.com/watch
3. Dust in the Wind - Kansas (I think)
Most any sad song has me feeling depressed lately, though. I'd give Closure and Bend the Bracket by Chevelle honorable mentions, though.
EDIT: Seize the Day by Avenged Sevenfold also gets to me occasionally.
The Gunners Dream - Pink Floyd
Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt. It's so grim that it takes all three votes from me.
Made the mistake of listening to it at 2 am driving home one night. I'm not suicidal, but driving the car into a phone poll started to seem like a half-good idea at the time.
lol
1. Bruce Springsteen - Downbound Train
2. Tracy Chapman - Fast Car
3. John Prine - Sam Stone (OP already listed it, but it deserves two spots since it's twice as depressing as any other song above)
Why would I want to learn the name of a song that I can't stand?
my current ring tine on my mobile phone, my wife hates it
The Weeping Song
Artist: Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds
Album: Best of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Go son, go down to the water
And see the women weeping there
Then go up into the mountains
The men, they are weeping too
Father, why are all the women weeping?
They are weeping for their men
Then why are all the men there weeping?
They are weeping back at them
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
Father, why are all the children weeping?
They are merely crying son
O, are they merely crying, father?
Yes, true weeping is yet to come
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
O father tell me, are you weeping?
Your face seems wet to touch
O then I'm so sorry, father
I never thought I hurt you so much
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While we rock ourselves to sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
disarm by the smashing pumpkins
Creep by stone temple pilots.
The Dance by garth brooks.

The Offspring - Gone away
O_o o_O
Odd, I always saw this as an inspirational song, and I don't even care for most country music.
Mad world was by Gary Jules?
I always had the imperssion it was tears for fears.
None the less I will rank that one.
But the number one sad song is probably Another day in paradise by Phill Collins.
That song can rip a mans heart apart.

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.
I completely agree, however. Though I enjoy both versions, and I think Tears for Fears had a more enjoyable version, the Gary Jules one, however, when it caught me on the wrong day, I wanted to jump off a bridge.
I imagine it would be the song that someone would drown puppies to.
