Me and my Gf both have installed and patched the client, when we hit play the games starts as in you can hear the sound effects but not image.
I know that we can not enter the game world until the 17th , so is the image problems simply something FC has done and will be fixed on opening day ?

start game in widow mode for 1st run

Logos are in 800x600? resolution so your monitor or videocard might not like the sudden switch. Window mode should fix it, if not try a reinstall as something might have gotten corrupted.
