Race Mixes on PVE/PVP Servers

Hello,

 

            I had a few questions about the different races in AoC and the dynamics it brings to the game. Are the 3 races separated like different sides (for example Horde and Alliance in WoW)? Are they at war with each other and if you choose one side (for example the Mages are mostly [if not all] one race) then are you able to play with people from the other races?

On a PVP server are you able to attack only other races? Are you able to visit their specific areas etc?

    The side you take in war is not based soley upon race, this isn't RvR. You may have all races in a guild and are able to play with anyother race, NPC or player character.

    PvP servers are FFA meaning I can attack anyone, even a guildmate. I believe you may visit any area in AoC aslong as you're strong enough.

    Are they really going to implement FFA - anyone other than the hardcore hardcores see how this wont be plesent?

    No one is calling you a carebear, infact you have a valid point. FFA PVP in age of conan, is not as hardcore as people seem to think. this might bring my cool factor down, but lets compare it to world of warcraft pvp realms.

     

    in World of warcraft, you have 2 sides, at anypoint in time except in the major cities and underlying zones you can attack anyone of the opposite faction at will. Later in the game you will be around the enemy constantly, as you level and quest in the same areas, this is not much different then age of conan. In age of conan's FFA PVP server ruleset, you will be able to play along side anyone no matter the race. Where things get alittle different is when your party member decides to leave group and attempt to kill you, or someone from your guild decides he wants to assassinate you.

     

     I find FFA PVP to be alot more fun then RVR, mainly because I like to be able to talk to everyone on my server and have a chance to battle them, and not just in duels.
