I'm sorry if there's a topic for this, but here's a new one. Simple question: "Can this computer run AoC?"
Computer specifications:
AMD Athlon 3500+ (2,2ghz)
1gb ddr ram
8600gt
I'm not going to upgrade this one. (buying new rig) But i'd like to play aoc from the start. I had only little lag on opn beta in that first jungle instance with low and 1280x768. When i entered the first city i had so big lag that i couldn't play. (Lower resolution didn't help)
Is this just because of overcrowded beta or old client version? Can i play this game in launch?

The ram is a worry,I know you said you wouldnt upgrade but ram is so cheap and even adding 1gb would help you out alot.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

You probably won't be able to run it.
RAM is quite weak, DDR1 im guessing? and only 1 gb...no go.
Card would play the game at low settings, but with your processor and ram you will struggle.
Why are you even asking, go to this site if you ain't familiar with it.
Yes, my memory is ddr1. Maybe 1gb more would help?

I would recommend going to www.newegg.com and buying some corsair value ram. I believe it is about 40 dollars for 2x1gig sticks. you need to make sure you buy the correct ram that your computer already has and is able to run. www.corsair.com should havea list for you to make sure you know what type your computer can handle.
lol, i went to the system requirements lab, and was like i wonder if i can run it. And it came up with a big FAIL. I was like... oh noez!! so i looked to see what i was missing... it was just hard drive space =P the 130 gb of anime i have stockpiled is gonna have to go
Ditto. I was shocked since my pc aint that old. Why would they put free disc space in the reqs anyway?
Your Ram is deff going to be a problem for you. Rams cheap now and you can pick up some top class gear for little money. If you are in Europe try this site, i use them all the time and they have never let me down.
