Only thing that fails is your sense of humour.  Not suprising tbh, the wow haters on this site lost their senses along time ago.

    Funny pic.

For the haters, get a life, it's just a joke.

haha really well done made me laugh :D.

On a side note and in middle of all of this i wonder why do people insist on the whole WoW killer thing, everytime there is a new mmo about to be released all we see is "is this gonna kill wow?" , "this is the definite wow killer!" ,  are people ( mmo players) completely blinded by their hatred towards a single game that every new mmo is put on an "arena" in front of WoW and everyone expects it to beat it down. I always thought we had different mmos for the sake of diversity ( from a players point of view, leaving corporate profits aside), that what is important is that the company developing the game is making a good job and that im gonna enjoy it when it launches.

you could have atleast shown a bit of damage on the health bar

(mainly just enjoying the post since it'll take a long time for WoW players to filter elsewhere)

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

I was under the impression that the phrase "WoW-killer" applied to games that came out after World of Warcraft. Some of the games in that comic came out before WoW:

    EVE Online -- May 2003

    SWG-- June 2003

    City of Heroes-- April 2004

WoW didn't come out until November 2004, just two weeks after EQ2. How are those other games supposed to be WoW-killers if they came out first?

But where'd Guild Wars go!? It's one of the few that could compete with WoW, considering it's free. Otherwise the picture was fun.

    Sooo WoW killed them right???

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

So does anyone know what loot WOW will drop once it falls? (and EQ2 better not roll need on everthing!)

Well...he DID include SWG in that list.  Granted, they did most of the "killing" themselves...but I won't deny that WoW had a substantial amount to do with both the initial player hemorrhaging AND the design decisions which followed.

But EVE has done nothing but grow, and CoX has maintained its average players since almost the day it hit.  Of course, both of those games a kind of niche, and their number tendencies are relatively expected in that regard.  Now, EQ and EQ2 DID see some heavy loss with players moving to WoW...but that didn't happen AT release.  Most of it likely happened slowly, and over the years, as players tired of those games and moved on.  I'm sure SOE made a few mad, and that helped it along.  Mostly, its that WoW offered the same style of game with some major improvements to the mechanics.

Its sort of like having two steaks...one is plain ole bottom round and the other is a fillet mignon.  If both cost the same money..well...its pretty clear which one everyone is gonna buy.  An actual WoW killer is gonna have to manage to BE that sort of game.  To be everything WoW is great at...and to be better at everything it lacks.  Kind of a hard thing to do now...so most of us are looking into those games which are actually advancing the mechanics of the genre as a whole, rather than just slight improvements.  Sadly, no one wants to break the mold in an intelligent way (AKA: A way which not only provides an awesome game...but preferably one which can run on MOST PC's as well).

      I rant.

There will be no WoW killer.  They command too much of the Asian market...and no "appealing" US/Euro game is gonna touch those players.  All 4+ million of them.
