Official word is the beta is on its way to begin and the first invites have already been sent out.
More invites will be sent as the beta progresses.

As fantaros said, the beta will be starting soon and the first 250 testers have been brought on board. If you're not one of the lucky 250 then you can still expect to be beta testing the game when we expand the number of testers over the coming weeks.
