     hehe.. silly :p

You know I was wondering about that. when I do that ALL of my bars are allmost maxed out except the vista one which of course was red, so it put my computer at the halfway mark. Now if they accounted for XP Im guessing it would look really good because I ran the beta really good..

Is there a way to figure a % to add to that for XP users?

If you score green in all categories but Vista, dont sweat it and give your self a 100% boost to your score. Vista is crap and would actually lower your score imo. That site is probabaly endorsed by Microsoft in some way, to push Vista to people who visit that site and dont know any better.

except for the fact that AoC has a dx10 mode, so not having vista, means you can't run dx10, so... it kinda deserves a fail for that =P

I would have to 100% disagree. It looks stunning with XP

Yep the game does look great in dx9 but even if alot of ppl ignore the fact dx10 is the future and yes Vista was bad but with sp1 I havent had 1 problem with vista, the people that still complain are the one's that have no idea what they are talking about, never use updates and never send away there faults for fix's

I aint defending vista as like most MMo's(seems fitting to use this term here) it was released before it was ready but it is for sure alot more steady now and would recommend it to ppl you have the system to back it up and the know how to get the fix's.

If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

did i say it didn't? merely that your lacking the option of dx10 mode

Everything is in the Green, all far above recommended.

Also Vista is sweet. Only people that seem to whine about it are those who haven't tried it or people that don't have enough RAM.

Been using 64bit Ultimate for 2months now and have had no problems at all.

SP1 increased performance by 2 fps on Crysis and 5 on FEAR.

SP1 also made audio transfers and video transfer 1/3 longer than pre-SP1.

DX10 is just another thing to push people to Vista. If you look at videos of Crysis for example showing DX9 and DX10 you can see a difference... now only if they didn't rig DX9 to look bad.

I myself changed 5 settings with DX9 and it looked near EXACT as DX10 on Vista but with better FPS it seems.

it means that to get use of the dx10 mode you need vista, so that by having xp you are unable to run the mode(which is superior, but just because somethings better doesn't mean the others bad, it's like cake vs cookies).  So the lab tells you, that having xp fails the test, because it lacks the high end option. =P

"which is superior" I lol'd. DX10 is by no means superior. I even modded BioShock using DX9 and it still looked nearly as good as DX10. I think DX10 so far only increases the shadow and particle quality at long ranges, which you wont even notice when in the heat of battle.

Sorry to say but this is an EXTREMELY innacurate post. There are MASSIVE differences between Crysis in DX9 and DX10.

Rollover the pics to see the DX10 versions.

I dont neccesarily like Vista but DX10 can do quite a few things that DX9 cant and there are no "settings" you can switch in Crysis to make DX9 look like DX10.

i have to kind of agree from what I've seen of the DX10 screen shots.

The really bright light from everything doesn't look as nice to me. Although I'm sure it's supposed to simulate real sunlight.. I have no idea really...

The DX9 shots the colors are so rich and are just visually more appealing to me.

For some reason it still looks even you yourself think DX10 is superior. Maybe this is the perfect spot to show you the difference between DX9 and DX10 screenshot.

Unfortunately you are wrong. There are settings you can change. STANDARD High DX9 doesn't look as good but CUSTOM high DX9 looks just as good. http://www.moddb.com/games/183/crysis/addons/9312/crysis-dx10-graphic-features-under-dx9-minimod oh looky what i found.

    Here is DX9:

    And here is DX10:
    Photobucket

    Draw your own speculations.

I would hardly call it superior since your sacrificing performance for things that are almost completely unnoticed.

Now if you could understand, not STANDARD DX9. You mod a couple .txt files within Crysis folder and bam, you have dx10 quality.

It will not run AoC!?!? Ironic, but for minimum everything is green... except for the videocard part, although my videocard has all of the minimum specs (i.e. 256 ram, shaders etc.) in the subcategory of that part.

Nope, you continue to be wrong. You are still missing features that DX9 is NOT capable of recreating. Its a known fact that DX9 cannot do everything that DX10 can. If it could, don't you think someone would have imported DX10 to XP for example. Sounds to me like your hardware isnt up to the challenge and so you are trying to make out that DX10 is no good.
