I gladly help seeding untill the servers are up but i dont really understand what program i need to open. Looked through the thread and still didn't get it, must be stupid so can someone plz tell me. Is it a file from the install files cause i think i already deleted them.
You would rerun the downloader that you used to get the files. If you've deleted there's nothing that can be done =(

Just run the patcher and leave it at the point where it says 'Age of Conan is Up-To-Date'
I think you have to close the patcher once Up-To-Date and re-open it for it to seed to others.
I could be wrong but feels like what the OP was pointing out.
I tried to rerun the dl link but it just ported me to the install files(still had em) and asked if i wanted to uninstall the already installed AoC.
So now i'm just running the patcher window(restarted it) and hopefully i'm seeding. But actually i dont see any indication of me sending any type of AoC information from that comp..
Anyway I will leave it open since i dont use that comp right now and hopefully it will do some good or something..
After following the buzz on the AoC official forums this is how I got my client (hope this helps) Let me also mention my account was preordered from gamestop 5-8-08 with a Visa debit card (east coast us) As soon as I got my key I went to register.ageofconan.com/account and created an account and registered it. I also paid for the early access I believe although wasn't charged til a few days later. (they couldn't legally charge for a download without offering it promptly and the DL wasn't ready til a couple of days later)
1) I hadn't received the notification email but when people on the AoC forums were all talking about how they were all downloading already I had to go see for myself. I read one guy post "quit camping your email and just go to the place where you registered your key."
2) I refreshed the main page a few times an hour until I got tired and went to bed. The next morning when I woke up I refreshed it once and the link appeared at the top of the page. I checked my account info and it said "5.00, approved, Age of Conan Early Access" (all highlighted in green)
3) I followed these steps as posted by a dev funcom.solidstatenetworks.com/about/ and started my download. I averaged between 350-400 KB/sec and had the whole thing downloaded in approx 12 hrs, give or take an hr.
4) After downloaded I installed the game which took 45-1hr and then over the past few days I've logged on to the client and grabbed a few patches here and there which were relatively small.
5) Defragged
6) Now it's Saturday May 17th and I'm sitting in forums talking and helping people until around 1pm EST when AoC goes live.
I hope all this helps, good luck and see ya in Hyboria!

Well yes but I was telling the folks who had updated then closed the launcher (without malice as the OP put it).
If you are still getting your original update patches, then close and re-open and leave at 'Up-To-Date'

You got it. It's running in the background with the way you have it. Good job. We can all help a few of the folks who have slow connections.
good to know!
will leave my patcher "up to date" on the screen till the server opens.
4.5 hrs to wait ...
