2 systems, most being the same, one is for overclock, the other is not, the overclock one will save you 100+ usd

if you don't want to overclock change these, and you can do with the stock intel cooler if you want, it is enough so you don't buy a heatsink for it, should save you some. well

a one which is rather empty, you can mod it as you like, and its higher quality than others

Power supply: (i rather recommend this one, but if you don't want to spend this much and figure the hell with it, i 'll have alternatives) this has its cables sleeved, which saves you form a heck lot of cable clutter, personally i have to sleeve mine bymyself which is an absolute mess and not a easy thing to do.

aleister, will this config. run many of the new games(mmog s) coming out in the half year or so, and also, will you be able to upgrade the graphics card as much as you feel you need too??

this can run doom3 with antisotropic filtering, which means you can play all the rpgs you want smoothly, hmm as far as the upgrades concerned.

This summer-fall, the computer industry changes the following, ddr>ddr2 agp>pci express, which means that you wont be able to just buy and pug the upgrade video card 2 years from now but you won't need to anyway. as far as 1000 computers go, this'll last you at least 2 years, than you can jump generation.

If you want to jump generations now, it is costly and not fully developed,

i am building myself a similar rig now, with pentium 2.6 c watercooled and overclocked, i am kind of fond of second hand and refurbished parts, madmax style scrap collector you might call me

i am using a p3-450 for 4 years now, almost 5 , i feel the need because i am a graphic designer, and i kinda have the money to do it.

So really buy this system and you'll pass it to a friend or a brother 2 years later
