Odd little question (PvP/PvP-RP)

I'm curious.. I don't have a lot of experience playing open PvP games so what is everyone's procedure when you come across another play in the wild? Attack on site, perhaps an friendly emote and hope for the best?

    Im going to be on the Rp/pvp server so yeah. If there is no dialogue or he's Rping a madman. I won't attack atleast as the first one. I'll be 100% defensive towards people and i won't do revenges. Im building the history on my character still. Lot's of randomness that needs to be added before i start to play :p

    Im on a normal PvP realm. and if i see it i stab it :D
