Idea I have had floating around in my head. It is painfully simple...
You start the game with 0 bounty.
Every time you kill a player in PVP the Bounty on your head goes up. Lets just say it goes up by 100 copper per kill.
So you kill 5 people in PVP you now have a Bounty on your head of 500 copper. This would be displayed simply by right clicking on your name.
The next time you get killed in PVP 2 things happen. The player who did the most damage to you collects the bounty. Your Bounty is now reset to 0 and you LOSE the amount of Money that was on your head ( 500 copper ).
Lets talk about this a little further..
I am a griefer, and I decide to spawn camp some newb. Well, I already killed him once so there is no more Bounty to collect. No gain for me other than just satisfaction of the spawn camp. Meanwhile my Bounty goes up EACH time, also increasing the amount I am going to lose when his buddies come along and take my ass down.
There could be a most wanted board that shows perhaps the 100 highest bounties on players heads and their last known location....that could make it even more interesting.
So simple to implement I would think...and I think it would work really well. A real reason to kill someone...once. But reason to not sit around and just spawn camp. A reason to have some fear just going around slaughtering newbs with 0 bounty.
**edit.. there would need to be a way to prevent exploiting this system - say I create a bunch of alts and just have my guildmate kill them over and over. Have not figured that part out yet
What do you guys think?
