I received my copy of AoC with the mail today (yay) and went to, ofcourse, register it at funcom's website.

Now, I entered the code, no problems and wanted to make the account. But apparantly you have to choose a subscription type and payment method, usually no problems with this- but:

I don't have a credit card, as I'm dutch I never needed one and I won't really get one soon anyway. Don't want to buy it either just for AoC, the direct debit is solely for german players and the game cards won't get released here untill 02.06

I'm screwed untill 02.06? I find actually retarded that you can't register your copy if you don't have anything to pay with. That means I can't play at all untill 02.06 (No, again, I'm NOT getting a credit card solely for the purpose of paying for AoC)

Or maybe I've read over something without noticing? I mean they do say 30 days free gaming, that's all fine and dandy but I would like to actually play those 30 days before I pay anything extra. (guess I'll have to pay 24 euros more then, sigh.)

Well yeah I get it, here we usually do the direct debit function (money gets drawn from your account directly) but as this is only open for german people that poses a mighty fine problem. (not to mention that they still need a visa code to use it, lol)

Too bad I'm no aussie then.

He was referring to Debit Cards, which are accepted just like a credit card. I am not sure if you have the option where you live. In the U.S. you can get one through your bank/credit union if you have a checking account. You might look into it for everyday use as well. It is much easier to use a debit card then write a check, in most cases.
