    Hell yeah...

I am lovin every minute of it, even with a few launch glitches which, tbh, I expected. In fact, they arnt even as bad as I expected, but then I don't get bent out of shape and throw a tantrum over stuff like this as much as others seem to.

This is a great game, and I have no doubt that FC will award extra playtime as comp for the downtimes to those that have been messed around.

There really isnt much drama, and the game is the best mmorpg I have played since 1999, so... yeah it's worth the money :)

Hmm, thought it would have been $50 or even $60, but guess not. That may be my extra incentive to get the game.

It's worth that and then some, I havn't had this much thrill and fresh new feeling of atmsophere since original Everquest.

Yes, I would say that for that price it is one of the best values around. Hell, I dished out about $60 for my copy and am still more than happy I did. While it does have some small issues,  It is a great game overall.

Oh and you don't really notice the lack of DX 10. The graphics are so beautiful now on DX 9 I really dont see how they could improve much more in DX 10. Graphics are simpy amazing. Think Oblivion cranked on high with the additional modded texture packs.

The combat system is quite worth the time. I will say one thing though: each class only truly 'flourishes' as it approaches level 20 to varying degrees. What I mean by this is that my Herald of Xotli felt and acted like a gimped mage with melee until I finally was able to around level twelve to keep up a decent fight due to having two points in a feat. As to why this is so, I can't really comment yet, other than I suspect that feats are what count to show that your class is what it is per the descriptions. For example, my first and probably only real combat spell is Hellfire Breath. This spell is a cone AOE fire attack which starts out very slow at the beginning, but when I level up the reduction feat related to it has become effectively an instant one shot spell. This is important since it does significant damage and recharges at a rate that makes it a meat-and-potatoes spell for my class, thus it shows what my class is all about: AOE/Cone DPS. Basically, I can out-DPS a barbarian that is approximately two levels above me with the Tortage gear provided (I know this from the fact that I was grouped with a barbarian that was exactly two levels above me by the end of the today's session on Cimmeria, and he made the comment on Ventrilo to this oddity about how I was able to throw down more DPS in mere moments compared to he or even our ranger who had a purple item (which it had an great amount of damage for itself) which shocked the hell out of me). But what offsets my character from his is that my long-term survival is slimmer than his and his class is a rogue based class. What he has over me as I found out in a 1-on-1 match is that he can stun and knock-back me where as I can snare/root and not much else. Basically, I have to take what I dish out more so than he does, and he has an armor class greater than me to take some of the punishment (a note though. He killed me twice, but I was able to kill him once, but we both died at the same time...).

What makes these classes stand out is in PVE groups and PVP groups respectively. Not once have I've been in a group that would have been considered heavily unbalanced as today, where we had no tank and only two healers which were primarily dishing out their respective damage spells and buff spells more so than their healing. Our rogues (two assassins and a barbarian), and myself were primarily doing lots of combos to dish out the damage and to knock-back the NPCs and PCs that we encountered. In some cases, we have taken on either PVE content that was a few levels above us or taken on PC teams of similar levels or even taken on a single significantly higher level opponent (20s) and did some damn good damage (and had fun too). It's been a long time since I've liked PVP (almost ten years), not since the days of MUDs have I not minded dying to better opponents nor having bested them in kind.

Why I am telling you this? Because I believe it stands out that the classes in AoC really seem to have their places in combat, none of which can be truly explored by solo-pvp with the exception of the pure melee classes like myself and others (Conqueror, Barbarian, Assassin, Dark Templar, Guardian, and Bear Shaman).

I think Funcom did a damn good job with the combat system and their single player quests (but their multiplayer quests so far are very generic, which is sad), but I hope they don't stop there and continue to flesh out this product for years to come. So, don't take my word, find a friend that has a copy of the game since every copy has a buddy key and you try it out. A word of warning as I stated before solo PVP does suck unless you like trying to best a team of spawn campers, do roll in a group on the PVP servers. Also, on the racial PVP servers, you can't heal or help those not of your race on them, so please make sure you do roll in a same race group on those servers otherwise you'll have the hardest time. All in all, it was a damn good day in an MMO in a long time for me.
