Graphical flickering problems

Ok, so I downloaded the latest drivers and stuff and my computer runs the game on medium settings pretty well. (I seem to keep good frame rate and not lag ect on tortage) The trouble is the graphics flicker every few seconds. Sometimes it's the hotbars, sometimes it's stuff on screen, sometimes everything.

Additionally sometimes huge blocks of seemingly broken nothing appear randomly in the wilderness and disappear. Changing my graphic settings (like clicking medium again) seems to clear it up, but it's really really irritating to try and deal with.

It's even more confusing since, supposedly, my specs are fine for this?

Here they are

Windows XP

Ram: 4 gigs

Graphic card: NVIDIA Geforce 7900 gtx with 512mb memory

Any help would be really lovely, I hope this can get resolved. thanks

Assuming you haven't overclocked it, those sound like random artefacts caused by unstable graphics memory, could be overheating or a problem with the card.  Check the temperature and maybe underclock it to see if it will behave.

Have a search for how to overclock a graphics card, they often give examples of some of the problems that can show up. Might help you narrow it down.

It sounds like your occlusion levels are set at an odd level, thus I have to wonder if you are interested in tweaking your settings? Other than that, I suggest what the other poster hinted at.
