What class is most comparable to a WoW Warlock?

NOT by the pet class, but by a sheer destructive spell caster who can hold their own.
I loved my WoW Warlock and wish I could bring it to all of these MMOs, but since I can't I need to find an alternative - and if I can find one with out a pet, that'd be great.

Grrr... isn't that a pet-class?
Indeed it has pets, but they aren't used as tanks. The necromancer has DoTs and are indeed the class that is most like the warlock of WoW.

Well Destruction Warlock counterpart would be demonologist I guess...
There is no leeching class in AoC expect maybe for Dark Templar but he is melee.
