Hello, first off, I just upgraded my computer.
Prior to that I was playing Age of Conan
(laggy) but it was playing.
System specs were
2.4ghz AMD single core
1 gig ram
ATI Radeon x800 pro.
And the game played okay on low.
So then I upgraded, following specs
Amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6400+
3.21GHz
4 gb of ram
Nvidia Geforce 8800 SSC GTS
Now for the problem, while installing (installing resources)
It gives me a file size error.
So I click okay and it continues, when I go to play
the game it says I have the wrong version
installed.
Any suggestions/help?

In the AoC directory you have a file called SimplConfig.exe run it and verify/repair resources
Need to reinstall. Check your hard drive space too. I had tried to install if after putting in my new graphics card. And it wouldnt recognize dvd2. I had run out of drive space... which amused me considering that hasnt happened in a long time.
Hit or miss on that tho. Had one friend where it fixed the issue, had another friend where it just made it worse (both on Win XP). Also, make sure that you have the latest drivers for your video card. For the one friend where he was having issues even after repair updating his drivers worked.

Played: Age of Conan, DDO, Saga of Ryzom, SWG, DaOC, MxO, EQ2, and so on...
Wish List: Jumpgate Evolution, Star Wars: TOR, Star Trek
Thank you both, I will try that.
Any ideas how my system will handle
the game?
FC also posted that u should keep installing , even if u get errors, then use the repair tool when ur done installing the game
