This game is amazing, i am lvl 18 Barbarian right now and have gotten used to the combat and it is revolutionary, once you get hang of it, i can see the brilliance of it all now
The fatality movements have to be seen to be believed! Fatality-- meaning the killing movement animation...it's glorious to watch. Doesn't happen all the time, the fatality is random but when it happens it's fantastic and very satisfying
I think Fatalities can be increased with certain armor, not sure. The servers are absolutely jammed packed with people!
I am on Wiccana and Dagoth servers....they got like 30 servers running with more on the way...so many people its crazy
The quests in noob zone are flawless, u can easilyi solo all the way to 20. There are group quests in there if u desire. The quests are very cool too
Nothing out there compares to this game, nothing...when you consider the entire package Age of Conan rules them all.....yes even you Lord of the Rings!

I have hope it stays amazing, just a little fearful. However PC-Gamer seems to have the scoop on end game and is out now (along with an in-game item and chance at winning a super powered gaming rig ). You'll love Barbarian, thats my main and is almost 40th. I worry because theres so much ive seen and done in just six days and that soon itll slow down and be less new and fresh. Great game so far, and I can't stop playing it.. (except to pass out, speaking of which.. )

There will always be people who find ways to rocket through the levels. As long as the casual pace is ok, I see now problem with it though.
What's the record in WOW now from 1-70? 1 day and 4 hours or so?
People need to say what about instanced bugs them. Like I have a slow hard drive and loading times kill me or what ever about instances bugs them. Why? b/c it makes no sense with out it. People say "yea it's instanced" without a reason like that is suppose to say or mean something. Give a reason, show some thought or don't.. really doesn't matter but you'll sound smarter that is for sure.
After been playing this for couple days I think it should have stayed in beta for while longer the game feeles half done and lots of bugs in it.
yeah thats a record set by people who have nothign better to do. The average joe wont sit at their computer all dya and do nothign else.

I totally agree with you. AOC is a next generation MMO. Current games and the one that are coming
out in a few months will have a very hard time

Played: Anarchy Online (alltime favorite) and lots of f2p titles (honorable mentions: 9Dragons, Martial Heroes, Dekaron, Atlantica Online)
I can't call any MMO "best" that I've played for less than a week. But suffice it to say, I'm satisfied, bugs and all.
I prefer to save overall judgment for the endgame since I don't often play enough to want to go through the journey to max level more than once.
Good game and exceptionally smooth launch but its no where near a new experience or one that will dethrone others.
There is nothing really new here but it is a competant and well presented package for those who tire of existing games.

A drop of massive fps when looking at certain areas (from 70 to 3 fps...) like some taverns / outdoor areas doesn't mean my PC is bad.
The game's badly coded at times.
My PC is 6 months old and can handle everything else so why not an MMO ? MMOs are meant to be more smooth & playable cause of their massive worlds but anw...
It's not a bad game but it is dissapointing. Feels too small and a button masher with levels.

The game did a decent launch but I think it has some flaws that will affect people and not be able to keep them playing. Hope this doesn't happen. Gluck AoC
I was a skeptic at first with this combat system but now after having gotten used to it...oh my god...it is so fluid. Once you flow with the movement of the combat it is a beautiful experience and it is an Orgasm when the fatatility happens....lol
I'm serious , this combat is so revolutionary...how come nobody else developed this before until now?
Tell you what, this combat system is born to be played with a Martial Arts class..a Monk class. If they ever use this with a martial arts class it would be sick!!! Combined with the fatalities....sheeesh forget about it...it would be hands down best class fighting system ever devised, ever
I am absolutely loving this game. My frame rates drop down in the city of Tortage the noob city but there is so so so much detail there it is mind blowing. I need a better video card that is all. I play with a Nvividia 7800..it gets the job done but I should upgrade

I hate loading screens, i tried them in eq2 and it broke the fun factor for me. Can i explain why i dont like them? probably not. Do i need a reason not to like something? of course not because its only my personal opinion that matters.....People need to say what about instanced bugs them. How can other people likes and dislikes on something like instances make sence? it's not food, i can't add some salt to make it more to my liking, u either like em, or not.

I like how the game teases you in the noob zone with "what is to come" dialogue with the Conan has heard or will hear of your exploits. Eventually you get to meet him from what I understand
The sound in this game is dead on accurate, very tough and sounds just like the movie Conan the Barbarian with Arnold Schwarzenegger...so cool
This is the only game that ever made me really feel like a one man wrecking machine going around swinging my ax or sword
Also the women in this game you can create are the most beautiful of all females in any other MMO out there, nothing comes close to their beauty
I really want to have a beautiful woman fighting at my side in this game with my Barbarian just like in the movie Conan the Barbarian with Arnold and Sandahl

Best MMO ever, sound like your first MMO ever.
Its a great game; best since EQ for sure. I'm not a fan of instancing but it seems ok in this game. Otherwise the graphics and combat are great; quests pretty decent....pvp is fun. Funcom has done a great job.
this is an awesome game....i am seriously surprized that there are people out there complaining about it, what else of whats out there is better than this game? seriously? this is the real deal IMO.

Where's the article about PC Gamer talking about end game for AoC? From the ones I browsed through it looked like they were just putting on kneepads for AoC. They even say the current rhino and mammoth are good for getting around. Anyone who has been on one knows that's a load of poop.

this is not the best mmo ever, this has the best graphics for an mmo ever. the game is very rushed, the item lore is very generic and you dont feel rewarded for the items. in WOW sometimes i get items the make me feel like im leveling and getting stronger. in AOC items with +0.1 rating will likely still be on your body at level 22. makes no since and WTF is +0.1? Tortage is the very weak, they should have not had tortage night. They should of just had you level to 10 in the day and let you leave the island. 20 level to get off the island is way to much in such a small area. Tortage night was put in so they could double up the same small area, make you grind the same area twice to seem bigger. and you all fell for it. the graphics are great, im sure this game will be a million times better in a year, i will wait. I am cool with WOW right now. I am a graphics whore, but i love gameplay even more, AOC fell short, i feel like im going backwards when playing conan.
once you get outta tortage, it is decent, very overhyped, i would play it if it was free. im gonna wait until they decide to add some real gameplay and item lore, amongst a million other things WOW has. LOTRO was better than this crap. The game is seriously lacking in a lot of areas.

We dont like instancing because we play WOW and LOTRO. clear enough?
