I need a game to hold me over till WAR, i'm board of Wow and the few other games i've played are complete disasters.
Is this game a disaster, or is it one of the best games released in a long time? (if anyone could list some MMO's from best to worst that would be great)
I know this kind of depends on style, but i'm looking for what the overall MMO community thinks.

In complete honesty, this game is not bringing anything "revolutionary" to the table, despite it's hype. You can consider combat "revolutionary" but the only real difference is the lack of an auto attack and a fighting system seen almost everywhere in console games. Rather, it's basically taken everything successful from other games, improved upon them (graphics for one), and mashed them into the recipe known as Age of Conan.
Judging by the sudden lack of "community" on the forums since release I can only assume that is good news; that most likely means they are playing for their free time rather than gossiping about the game, since they can experience it all for themselves now... I'm in wait for my rig to be complete so it's a little longer wait for myself.
From a stand-point of today's games, I'd consider this game a notch above almost every other (equal, if not greater, than high quality P2P games right now such as LOTRO and EVE). If you're thinking this game will be mind-blowingly different... you're not going to see that for a long time, the same going for WAR, Aion, and TCoS (maybe they can change this, but whether or not it is succesful is a mystery).
Welcome to the "WoW" era. Every game that will be coming out within a year will be trying to follow in it's footsteps. Don't expect many "unique" games for a good while yet, when the market grows and has more to offer.
