Also where do you get the FPS in the solo instances? these are no reference. Even 8800GTS users see the difference between the city instances and the solo content.
I think we will see the TRUE face of Conan coding when you'll all TRY to play the 48vs48 siege battles, because I have the impression the limit of number of people in ONE instance(or copy) of a zone is 40 to 50 at the moment.
By doubling it in the siege instances, even the 8800GTS cards could be taking a HUGE hit on their FPS.
Remember the first days of open Beta? Now I could be wrong, but .... what is MORE probable:
-a they found a solution to ALL of the code in 5 days and so eliminated a lot of the lagging of open day beta after having developped the game for 5 years?
)-b they limited the number of people playing in one copy of a zone (say from 100 to 40 or 50)
Now that would mean they needed to add some servers.... (even though they acknowdged now they have 400K player on line and said earlier they had the server capacity to have 700 K players). They did add servers, curious ....
So I am VERY anxious to see the first siege battles of 48 against 48 and than let's talk again !
I get around 60-90 in solo dingeons...30-40 is smooth as you cant see difference in frames above 25 FPS, and I didn't mention that my FPS is dropping below that. I can even afford turning 2x AA though I don't really need it as my pixels look as good without it.
I get 900 frams per second on my rig so naa
I have a 64 bit computer OC quad core and 8 gigs of DDR3 ram with 1k psu with like 4 SLI 9800
The game looks like a flawless morning cartoon.
Even the once a minute loading time only last for a tenth of a second, I can barley see them

It depends on how you see it, ofcourse it will be better optimised over time. But alot of people think they can run it on a midrange rig in High with all effects. (I've read alot of those posts) And ofcourse there is alot of people who has problems as there usually are when new BIG games are released. Sad but true.
None of my 5 irl friends playing do have any of these problems. It runs ok with regards to their currend HW.
It's also hard to estimate exactly how many that got these problems. Rumors are there is over 800 000 copies sold, if that's true, and it ran like shit for most people, it would be even more activity on the forums. (Dont get me wrong here, I know there are issues, but estimating the amount of people who has them is almost impossible).
But I agree to some of what you are saying, performance can always be improved, and fixes for various hardware configurations has to be applied.

there are people with computers identical to the fake specs you posted that are geting around 10 fps.. if you read the conan forums on funcoms site you will see people with quad cores, max ram, 9800 gtx cards who can't go above 15 fps.
it has nothing to do with your pc, it's just poorly coded and highly unoptimized.
If you expect any game thats going to be released this year to run ok on your rig, well..good luck!

If you want to cancel then cancel the account.
To me the game is great (and yes I have more than enough WoW experience... actually a bit too much so that is why I cancelled my WoW accounts... and before the "patriotic WoW players" attack me I am not saying that WoW sucks.... it is a Maserpiece).
Performance..... definitely is a bit of a problem, but there is always a solution. I have posted a few times that my PC isn't the greatest and I am running it nice and smooth.
Flaws..... yes it has them.... but after a few patches things should become clearer.

Yup same here. Games isnt fun when you have to force yourself into liking it. AoC is a way, way worse game compared to for example WoW. 2 different leagues.

We cant buy new computers all the time cause game developers makes sucky games.

Gameplay is number 1. Everything else is secondary. Funcom forgot that.

I called it last year on this one, I made several post about how it was such a poor choice by the developers to use the same or so called (revamped) game engine that they used to Anarchy Online.
Anyone that played Anarchy Online and participated in big PVP fights back in the day when Notum Wars was realeased knows exactly what im talking about. This game engine is utter crap, and should have been shevled along time ago.
Funcom is a great company and makes very good MMO's but their in house game engine ruins it for them.

Yes, people are canceling their accounts. ALSO many are still considering to join, like I was a few days ago. In the end I decided to join, and I like it a lot.
Difference in opinion is OK... I have seen people on this AoC forum performing fatalities on the forum rather than in the game....
You're running this game with almost a 3 year old LOW END graphics card and a old single core low clocked CPU. You wonder why you're having issues running this game? lol. With that system any game that will be coming out will bring it to its knees.
First of all, no you can't have his stuff, because the Traders are broken. No economy. No bank. The servers are back up, new patch is in place with some fixes, but yet no fix to Traders. No access to bank. No word from dev team on a core part of the game still being down. One reason why I'm cancelling. Kind of a big reason. So if the fanboi gangbangers are going to bounce on the op for posting his reason for canceling, here's a few more reasons, along with the crappy fps, that I'm canceling:
No immersive feel with the zones being instanced. You barely see anyone. I knew the first 20 levels would be instanced, but I didn't think it continue into the rest of the zones.
The chat system stinks. Its ridiculous. Who the hell beta-tested this, and did they provide any feedback? Sometimes I wonder if its the devs who are just blinded by their own egos, or people who get into beta just to play for their own sake and provide no constructive criticism. Because to release the game with such a crappy chatsystem with no configuration options (like RFO, for anyone who remembers that pile), and difficulty keeping track of your group because they are extremely difficult to see on the minimap. Unbelievable. Now that's something so easy that could have come out of beta. Another reason I'm cancelling. I'm not paying to beta it now.
Over 30+, and not many interesting quests. The majority are all Fedex. No cohesive storyline to the quests within a zone. And over 45, no quests left. Some zones, like Fields of Dead are crash-happy, and were not fixed this patch. So what's there to do half-way to the cap? Hmm, half-way and quests dry up, things sure sound promising.
Maybe in a few more months it'll get better.

I realized the OP was a blatant troll when he posted those specs. Gave me a good lol though. All these people angered over his post must have missed that hilarious post you quoted. Nobody could (should) take him seriously after he said that. Once he did I was like "Well played OP, well played."
I mean, nobody could be that dense to get upset and cancel because they are trying trying to run a modern game on an ancient PC, and blame it on the game, they would have to be a lobotomy patient or undergoing some kind of self trappaning procedure while typing the post...either that or a bloody simple troll.
