Trying to start a roleplaying guild maybe with a few families in it

Ok i was thinking it would be fun to start a roleplaying guild, doesnt have to be hardcore ropleplayers or powergamers just people who want to roleplay(we wouldnt have to always roleplay in guildchat but other than that RPing would be a key foundation of the guild. also if anyone is interested we could think of a background and structure- i have a big imagination) and have at least 10 hours a week on average to play(I am thinking around 20-25 for me except on winterbreak its like 70 a week).

I think we should set up around 4 families who founded the guild(could be 2 or 3 or 5) but thier could be others who arent in a family(mostly people who join in game who didnt plan on character creation to be in the guild) who are in it also and could have equal oppurtunity in guild.

I also believe a roleplay guild needs to set some limits to maintain a good roleplay value, like we would not allow trolls and ogres in because we think we are better than the likes of monsters(just an example but something i am fond of), but for special cases we may allow say an ogre because he is a very good friend of a prominent member or he has done something to prove he should be invited.

I also intend this guild to be run through Qeynos, we dont neccesarily need to be goody two shoes, we can dabble in some shady business if need be. I do want this guild to have a good roleplay reputation on the RP servers.

In a roleplay situation I think some classes and races don't fit, i mean its ok but not unless theres a good reason/background and other members are ok with it, i don't really want a high elf shaman it just doesnt work (high elf is as far from barbarity as you can get in EQ) but im not saying thats set in stone but i think we should set up a few boundaries for race class combo unless theres a good reason/background.

I would like the founding families to be either: human, half-elf, halfling, high elf, dwarf, barbarian and lastly wood elf-my least fav but it could work. example: 1 human family, 2 high elf, one dwarf. another thing if high elf is a founding family half elves won't be, although half elves could be a member of the high elf family or if we had a human one.

Like what your hear? Have suggestions/input? post anything you can think of!

Well I'm pretty sure i'm oging to play on the RP now especially with the asian alliance thing i want to avoid that crowd, if the new named imperium guild will be a RP I would definately consider going for it but if not I think I will try and get a medium/small roleplay guild with families, also I think imperium's goals would function better without roleplaying unless theres a really good background. I don't know if anyone would be interested in what i want here and if you guys are on a RP server and this doesnt work i would wanna be a part of it but i know that of course i would lose my position, founding/importante role.

We won't be a pure roleplaying guild, but if people want to roleplay that is fine with me.  If you want a hardcore roleplaying guild than Imperium Arcanum is probly not for you.  We probly will put a story behind the guild, but it will not be a pure roleplaying guild and i along with probly alot of the members won't be roleplaying, although as i said, if people want to roleplay, than they can.  So if you want a pure roleplaying guild, than yeah, Imperium isn't for you.  And you hate high elf mystics......
