Is full scale PVP good for the game?

Seems to me POTBS is sort of full scale PVP game. Although it happened in different area but the random PVP zone makes low levels difficult to enjoy the game at early stage because all PVP are max level players. No chance for low levels.

Someone may ask, why the hell you went to pvp zone? Certainly the low levels not going there to pvp. The PVP allowed 6 players to join so as I heard you can summon your friends to join you to pvp. If it was true then the PVP turn out to be ganking. I think only lv50 will know more about pvp.

As far as I know lot of craftings in the game are mainly uses to cause harbor unstable until certain point to turn into violence which means factions war then pvp. So basically, POTBS is PVP focus game because there not many pve contents but reputation etc all aiming to PVP in the end. Even there is any quest but they are very much alike in all ports.

I am not level 50 but definitely I am not expecting to do pvp and port attack everyday and crafting just to get better ship for pvp. As a pirate, you lose the ship in pvp but I am not sure if the crafted ship still the same. Then, crafting ship is definitely not worthy. It takes you months to craft a ship but you may lose it in 1 minute.

Its not good for the end game there needs to be more interesting PvE content for bored LvL 50's

There is more content planned in R1.5 with player governed ports hot on its heals.

Red zones in PotBS aren't random, they are created by many player's efforts and quite often they turn out to be gankfests in Pirates. I should know, I've ganked quite a few people in them. The PvE section of the game is underdeveloped for all levels as most missions are variations on 3 themes, escort mission keeping an npc alive, Blockade run getting past alot of ships shooting at you, and kill all the npcs style missions. Yes it can take months to craft a first rate line ship or second rate lineship and yes you can lose it in a matter of minutes, don't swim alone, definitely not a game for the solo player.

There is no such thing as large scale PvP in PotBS. Group size is limited to six, port battles are 24. As soon as you leave a battle you are fully healed, so wars of attrition don't matter. Six level fifties will destroy anything besides another group of six level fifties.

There are a lot of flaws in PotBS, the biggest one being that if you aren't in a group of six level fifties you shouldn't be PVPing. If you do go into the red zone you'll end up being ganked and just giving contention points to the enemy. Enemy ships don't (or rarely) exist near ports that are getting attacked, so attacking NPCs isn't an option.

PotBS is a PVP focused game and getting to level 50 only requires a week of grinding. It quickly gets boring and it is very frustrating to not be able to PVP because of not having a full group. Add in all of the exploits that exist in game, that Flying Lab knows all about and calls "game mechanics" and you've got an unbalanced game that is only fun in small bursts and not for very long. These exploits, to explain, are things such as the enemy boarding you but not attacking, leaving you completely vulnerable to outside attack. Contention turn ins taking a port from zero contention to ten thousand in minutes. Etc.

Port battles are broken. The numbers don't change much, especially when the defenders run and hide in the town after losing ships.

Red circle PVP requires a group of six level fifties.

I'm done. I spent 6 months with PotBS and in all that time things only got worse, not better.
