The game isnt perfect. But which game is ? Especially one week after release. I hate the landscape obstacles. I hate it when i am /stuck while under attack or running away. The black citadel was a bit of a letdown. I do miss fashion slots (playing on EU RP-PvE with emphasis on RP). I am *cough* 4X+ yo and sometimes i wished combat was a bit less involving Well, its a difference what class you play and if you solo or play in groups. Everything else is close to perfect with potential for more.
I am not a AoC lover. I am a game lover and AoC is one of the best i played so far. What i see is that people dont take responsibility and blame funcom. Ganking is a social problem, not a game problem. Missing group content is there if people care to do it. Even Tortage has the acheron ruins. Small groups can do quests a few levels higher. I never tried, but every zone has also an epic version available.
I tried "epic" version of zone just to finish broken quest (lost child in wild lands), mobs are harder to kill but doesnt drop anything than usual stuff.
Groups can be found, early startes maybe had problems because lower population, and newcomers are too low lvl atm. i did manage to find group to do all low lvl instances several times so if someone not looking you wont find it

I agree with OP. People are just trying to find things wrong with this game and ignoring how good it really is.
It's a fresh launch and will need some polishing, but it's a good game.
If you can get past the zoning (zones are big) then you're in for a treat.
