As most new gamers and thir newest games are, all want to make the right choises from the get-go. Ive been looking at playing this game for a while now and noticed that EVE has always been rated in the top 10 for a very very long time, this speeks very well for the game and its players. So as i said im now looking in playing. But there are numerious things that im conserned about. First of all (and im guessing least important) is the server, knowing that some are more full then others, fiding a mid ranged one, im guessing is best choice. Next (and more important) is the Race and Class (BTW does gender diffrence have anything to do with anything?). Now from what i understand, choosing your Race is second only to what your trait is going to be. Now i see that there are many ways that you can play depending what you want out of the game. Well i never was a farmer, and hate doing it, with that known i alwasy thought research or somthing with "OUT POASTES" is somthing that cought my intrest. So any advice would help me out greatly, and if you can incluid the race that bests accompaies the class would be very greatful. The rest i guess i need to figure out myself, unless you have some tips that would help.
Thank you for taking the time, and i hope to see you online.

You can't chose servers. The client will do that for you.
Just balance your attributes with a little more perception and a little less charisma. Chose the race you want (purely cosmetical), but chose something combat oriented as starting abilities, and then finish the tutorial.
That's all you need to know.
P.s. Do not fly what you can't afford to lose
There is only one server
Caladri - Achura is the best race for almost everything (unfortunatly)
You can train for any ships, Gallente are probably the best for fighting
There are many guides around, including mine

This is so wrong on so many levels...
There is no best in Eve. There never was, there never will.
Race wise chose any as race means nothing game play wise. Sex like race is purely cosmetic too. Attribute wise i advise you try and get you attributes at a more or less similar level so you can train all skills equally well.
Advice wise for the game itself well the top golden rule is don't fly any ships or items you cant afford to lose as EvE is a PvP centred game with NO 100% safe areas [meaning that you can be ganked even in noob areas, tho it is done to great penalty to the ganker so therefore rare].
Also it really helps to join a player run corporation.
Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981
To me, all Achura characters look identical (cept the female ones)

Tho its kind of a proven fact that guns > missiles in Eve in most of the cases
There is only one server for game play -- Tranquility. The rest are for testing -- stay clear of those until you know what you are doing.
Caldari -- frankly -- is the most noob friendly. Missiles, are the least "complicated" and most versitile of the weapons. To get your feet wet... it is a nice place to start. But accordingly -- Caldari space is filled with noobs...which attract griefers...thick as flies. Get away from the heavily populated systems to start...
Single handedly -- I think the griefers in caldari space account for probably 50% of new players never getting much beyond the tutorial. Frankly ... if your a noob, and in a heavily populated system... it is much like one can immagine as being released into the general prison population. Thuggery abounds.
You begin with 3 character slots. Use them wisely.
Build a fighting toon for your Primary -- to start.
At some point down the road you will really kick yourself if you do not.
Make your second and third toons specialists in areas that you want to try out -- mining/industry/market/science. Goof around with them for the first couple of months... then focus all your attention on the one toon that fits your gaming style ... that should be your bread winner. Specialize, specialize, specialize
Do the tutorials -- EVE has a very, very steep learning curve, and is not for the lazy, weak, or stupid.
Sadly -- It takes, on average (a guess) about 2 months ... to "get it"... most peeps dont stay that long. Then... all of a sudden, you start having these epiphanies -- and then it is a constant series of "discoveries" about game content, career paths, places, people, and about finding awesome setups for your ships.
The game is daunting in its complexity -- and not made to be understood, or figured out in one sitting.... it is what has kept me hooked for years. I am constantly learning and discovering new things, meeting new people.
After your trial time is over, get into some corporations -- one with each toon...meet some new folks and see which group/groups you enjoy playing with. Join a large group, Goons, BoB etc -- learn PvP and experience being fodder for the grist mil..., Join a small older corp (and learn the deep friendships that you can make), and Join a newbie corp with an energetic new CEO...
Most good corps will help you out with ships and skillbooks etc -- they all know money is tight for a noob... but give something in return -- haul, mine, fight... do something for them that they dont have the time to do.
Specialization is the key to everything in EVE. Start with small ships. frigates, cruisers, assault ships, interceptors, covert ops etc. Work your core skills and learning. That will lay a solid foundation when you start getting really "involved".
Ive been playing for many years and have run some very successful Corps etc -- A few friends that you can trust in EVE...are priceless, and you actually make those friends most easily...as a noob...when you have very little to lose.
All the best
