I kind of assumed that any game since 2005 would be relatively easily soloable. And by soloable, I mean you can play it alone and still advance, if not get shiny gear.
My friend who is playing AoC tells me that at higher levels it gets progressively harder to solo. I don't really like forced grouping at ANY level so I wanted to get other peoples impressions.
He is playing a necromancer. Normally pet classes are the MOST soloable, but he says his pets have no aggro holding abilities and many mobs are grouped into pulls of two or three, with large aggro ranges so you get adds all the time.
Thanks in advance.

You can find ways to solo in AoC to level, but alot of the good weapons / gear come from the tougher quests which usually require grouping as you exceed in higher levels.
Killing mobs to level in this game may work, but its gonna take you a long time to get to 80 this way.
so far I have hit lvl 26 all soloing, I also have many many more quest to take me to at least lvl 28 in this area then I might have to move to a new zone but so far so good for soloing.
I'm a 28 1/2 level Conq and have soloed everything thus far, my quest log is overflowing and I still see ! above the heads of NPCs almost everywhere I go. I also enjoy solo play, I play mmo's more for the complexity and continually evolving content, rather than for the social aspect. Like most mmos, it's all about timing your pulls, and separating patrolling mobs from fixed groups, but so far everything is soloable. I can't speak for past the mid 30s, but we'll see how it goes.
Supposedly Necro and Demonolist do not scale as well as some of other classes so it may be a class thing and not a content thing.
you can solo all the way to 80. Also the epic dungeons and solo dungeons does not yield any difference in the quality of loot (right now)
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
