No, coming here and raining on my parade makes you a miserable fanboi. Enjoying the game does not.
Well sorry. I suggest you read my posts more clearly next time before assuming what I was typing and making assumptions based on it.
But this has gone on long enough. We'll see when/if the Buddy Keys are released and how AoC will fare in the future. Some of us will play the game while that happens, others will not. Still others will continue to attack it viciously, and yet others will defend it just as viciously. That's the way it goes with MMO's it seems.
No you were pretty clear on what you said. You just changed your mind when it better suited your argument.
But yes, it has gone on long enough. Eventually one of us will have egg on our face. Time will tell whom.

There are folks with level 80 characters already. There are guild leaders getting banned because their guildmates all pitched in and sent them cash while the banking system was down. There are graphical glitches up the wazoo. There are problems with the EU servers. There's a lack of coherent communication from Funcom. ... Shall I go on listing the problems?
The news is so bad coming out of AoC that the Vanguard launch is starting to look like a walk in the park in comparison. I joked that AoC would have as bad a launch as Vanguard; the reality is much worse.

Excuse me?? I did -what-? When did I change my mind when it "suited my argument"??
Sorry, but this is just outright insulting. *smirk* I didn't change one thing from what I said in my first post and I stick by it. If people can't wait for a few more days or even weeks if it comes to that to try a game, then they can either shell out the money for the game to give it a shot or they can just go on to another game, that's their choice. It's not like the game will be gone next month.

Yes, I do tend to ask people what they are talking about when they decide to insult me openly. So either you explain to me where exactly I have changed my mind in my previous posts, or you just shut up about it. Calling people names and insulting them and then feeling smart about it without anything backing you up is rather weak m8.
Call me names all you like, I was not the one insulting you in the first place.
I believe the exact wording was, 'A few days, or a week if it even comes to that'?
Anyway, I've never witness a MMO that did no release with Buddy Keys. I've never even seen a single player or multiplayer game that didn't release with a demo. To me this is fundamental, it gives people a taste, and it gives the company a chance to show off their best. That Age of Conan released without either a Demo or Buddy Keys shows to me, that they have no 'best' to give us a taste of.

No, the rest of my post is not a opinion.. There ARE battlekeeps implemented at this point, I DO have a ton of quests still and you CAN find your friends.. how is any of that a opinion?

Third - PVP is a joke. Click on yellow arrow next to the map and see how many instances are of each area! I think the areas can not even support 50 players before creating another shard! If someone attacks you, and you feel you are going to lose - click the yellow arrow and PUF! disappear to another instance!!!! And nobody can ever find you. Also good luck finding someone specific. You can not even meet your friends
I find this amazing that they can sell a game on PvP aspects slap instancing galore and never thought of this. It took the uber leet gankzor kids 2 seconds probably to try this. Cry more. The devs are probably a bit busy, maybe because of a massive game launch? Patch is coming tomorrow, a very large one at that. At least give them a chance.
Shouldn't you be playing AoC, ganking lowbies, cutting them into pieces, and telling them to cry more?
Don't forget to add that the customer service and policies are unprecedentedly horrendous. They take a day to respond to tickets, they blanket-ban players and ask questions later (in reality they won't even tell you why you were banned exactly).
Overall, this game wasn't ready for release. I knew I shouldn't have spent $50 on this game. The fanbois didn't convince me to. It was my old MMO friends that were looking for something to play. Well, we did, and now some of those friends aren't even playing the game anymore.
That's because anyone who's playing MMO's for a long time now (pre-wow MMO's) knows that there's a lot more to be had than these stupid, boring, IQ-reducing treadmills that keep you chasing the carrot killing 50 million deer and returning to the quest giver.

it's not the consumer's problem if the game was released 6 months too early.
no auction house/trader, mailboxes, bugs, lack of quests 30+, lots of obvious exploits in the game... it's obvious they released too early.

You do know there are auction houses/traders, mails boxes in the game and working since last week? I've never lacked for 30+ level quest. yes you might actually have to go to a different area but there are plenty if you only bother to actually move.
Many beta testers find exploits and refuse to report them so their guilds will have a edge when the game goes live, that unfortunately isn't the games fault its just stupid human nature, like the gankers who feel proud to kill those several levels lower. Some guilds just have to be the first even if it means exploiting.
The fact you continue to post things that have been fixed shows you really don't have much of a factual basis to argue your point with.

They weren't in the game in the first 2 weeks of the game when i was playing (before i cancelled).
It doesn't diminish my point though: what MMO releases without working banks/AHs/mail? not to mention a bunch of other bugs & exploits?
As i said, they might be starting to fix *basic* things now, but i maintain this game was released 6 months too early.
The traders/banks/mailing system (it's a one universal thing in AoC) was brought down and two fixes was applied. The first one that removed the exploit (but created another problem) took them 3 working days. The second one took them 1 extra day.
If there is one thing that they do right, is fixing bugs fast. Very fast.

The game went live in the US on the 20th so it hasn't even been 2 weeks (14 days) yet. The traders and such were all up at the end of the first week. (Friday 3 days after launch) So unless you started playing a week+ before the game went live your lying. There was a head start for some pre-orders but it was only like 3-4 days as i understand it. perhaps my info there is incorrect. I'm sure you will correct me if it is.
As to what game launches without working Banks/AH/mail and bugs lets drop a name like oh alittle game called WoW.
MMO's are always released too early and they are never complete because they are always growing. Please tell me of one MMO that met the standards you've stated here at launch?
This game is not ready for retail -even at this stage - few weeks after launch.
There are so big bugs and errors at higher lvls that its just remarkable that any gaming company should ever release such a thing. This has already put huge dent in Funcom's reputation and belive you me - Who is ever gonna belive one word these guys say again ?
I got a lvl 50 character now that supposedly should be able to do spellweaving. Im actually one of the class where spellweaving was not disabled after launch cause of bugs - but it really should have been disabled. What a joke of a feature. Its still 2-3 months work needed on it and yet again Funcom directly lied to ppl - and they showed utter lack of respect throwing out such a feature without even testing it.
As far as City building - You can build (that is if your not banned for having to much gold in your bags cause of the exploiders banning) but... None of the effect of any building is working. There are huge collision problems in every building - Do I really need to go on ?
Quests that are bugged ? Well - let me make an example. One in Wildlands is to find a lost boy. There are 3 months now since I reported this quest as bug cause the kid was actually INSIDE the Wolrd map so you did not see him at all. 3 months later its still the same.... How long to fix this ? 5 mins ?
There are numerious bugs like that. Bugs that take short time to fix but because this game was released UNFINISHED these are now things that will not fix cause HUGE problems like exploids and gamebreaking issues are showing up left right and center atm that need full priority to be fixed and STILL have the servers up for paying custimors.
The dmg is already done. We are now at Vanguard stage. The small and irritating bugs that could have been very easy to fix on a beta servers are now running riot all over Hyboria. Instead of doing one month of more vigorus testing we are now stuck with game that will take over 6 months to fix the smallest of issues.
So yes - Think before you buy this one in the next year or so. But I promise you that over 80% of the ppl that are now playing have given up then.
