Slow patching

I downloaded the trial version so I can see what the hub bub is about RvR before open beta for WAR starts. Right now the patcher is downloading between 4 and 10 kb/s. Is it normally this slow or is there a way to speed it up?

When I played it back in the day, the patcher would work pretty fast, at least 50kb/s. I think as you work through the patches it will be faster and faster.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
Yeah all of a sudden it went up to 100+ kb/s
