I am looking for a new mmo to immerse myself in. I will list games that I have liked and ones that I did not. I can devote about an hour each weekday and maybe two to three hours on each weekend. I would like something that is easy to jump into, and in which I can have fun in just an hours time. I also would like something that is not huge on the grind ala lineage 2. It does not matter if F2P or P2P although free is nice.
Games Liked:
UO - Played for four years.
WoW - Played for eight months.
Anarchy Online - Played for a year.
EVE Online - Played for four months.
Disliked:
EQ - Coming from UO couldnt get over the linear gameplay and grind at the time.
Shadowbane - Recently tried couldnt dig the graphics and animation.
Lineage 2 - The grind.
Alost of Korean MMO's - The grind.
I obviously enjoy some PVP but it is not required. Also right now I am looking into EQ2 and D&D online, as well as vanguard as top contenders. AOC is out of the question as I only have a P4 3.0 and 2 Gigs of ram, and from what I am reading those may not cut it. My video card is a geforce 7300 256megs. I really would like something with a trial if its P2P which Vanguard does not have.
Thanks for the help!

I have heard that Vanguard is very good, and Dark Age of Camelot is the best PvP MMO out there, and you can level up very quickly. I would download the DAoC trial right away, and the best part is you level up EVEN FASTER with the trial, so you can test out the amazing PvP very quickly. I have heard that a Vanguard trial may be coming out sometime within the next couple of months. And once Warhammer Online comes out I would highly reccomend it, as it looks like it will be much better than any came that is currently out.
Seems like LOTRO would be a perfect game for you. Has a casual game style that is similar to wow. Great graphics and fun to play. It is more about the journey than the destination. If you PM me I can get you a 10-day buddy key with no restrictions.

Another game that you might like is LOTRO. It's casual friendly, and it does offer a form of PvP.
Right now Turbine is offering a 14 day free trial for LOTRO.
I just left Vanguard and went to LOTRO. I hadn't played since beta, and I'm really enjoying it.
I've played Vanguard off and on since beta. It has come a long way since release, but it's still missing something for me......and that's coming from an old EQ1 player.
I'm still searching for "the" game in the post EQ1 mmo world, but for now LOTRO is fun.
Good luck with your search!
