I have an 8800GT, 4gigs of ram, and I'm running at about 15 fps, which is unplayable for me in a pvp situation... Guess I'm going to wait for WAR, or a few months for them to get this in a semi legitmate state.

Then the problem is on your end, I have a Core2 duo 1.86 (processor in minimum specs) 8800gt 512, 4 gigs of ram and I run at 50 to 100 fps. Don't go spouting BS until you troubleshoot your pc. You have to have a bottleneck somewhere in you system that is causing the fps drop.

Well to be fair to the OP, he didn't state his CPU, PSU capacity, type of ram (hell he could have some pretty crappy ram installed ), what type of HD he has.

There could be a plethora of reason why his system is not giving him higher fps.

LOL. Bad news for you mate. If you can't run AOC on that kind of hardware, then you can forget WAR.

People have an illusion that WARs graphics engine is super tiny. It's not.

I've seen people play AOC on shitty laptops with 20-25 fps. Try avoid buying a computer

at a gasoline station next time.

on a 6mb cable broadband connection,

-amd x2 6400 3.2 ghz dual core cpu

-dual 8800gt 512 mb in sli mode

    -650 watt power supply

    -3 gb 800 mhz 6400 ddr2 ram

-windows xp home srvc pack 3

I'm getting 30 to slightly over 100 FPS at times with high settings to give you an idea/example.

1280 x 720 res due to my screen size 37 inch.

without shutting off firewall/antivirus/or any processes.

At $1,300 for the rig i'm very happy ...got mine from newegg.

I'm getting a consistent 15-20 FPS with this machine on HIGH settings:

    Sempron 3100+

    GeForce 6600

    2GB RAM (PC2700)

It was pointed out in the forums that there's a bug somewhere in the LOW settings that causes the game to run poorly. The recommendation is to set the default to HIGH settings, and then adjust the sliders from there. This has been the case for me. I was getting about 6FPS until I bumped it up to HIGH settings.

  • figured the post would say unless you want to throw 50 dollars down the drain.

    Running here with:

8800GTX 512M card, Core 2 Duo 2.4 and 2GB ram, 72GB Raptor, no overclocking and runs sweet with some settings on high.

    I get 35 to 100+ fps

No issues so far with game performance.

there is also the option of upgrading your current computer with a higher graphics card and more ram. Its cheaper then buying a new computer. I put a 8800 card and 2 more gigs ram in my computer and it runs fine for me.
