Hey guys,
I'm looking for an easy-to-get-into but not too boring PVP-based game that's free to play and has at least decent graphics.
Ideally my (11 year old) son and I would be able to log and have a decent gaming experience within, say, an hour... Maybe jump into a PVP battle or grind some mobs.
Nothing cutesy (fairies and sunshine etc) but nothing too "mature" either (hot looking korean girl avatars etc)
I've tried to look through the plethora of Eastern MMO's out there but there's too many of them for me to figure out which are worth looking at.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

a few games come to mind right away
9 dragons
conquer online
shadowbane
its not totally free to play (gotta buy the games and stuff) but you dont have to pay monthly.
I would suggest Guild Wars. Really PvP oriented, i know some people that dont play the PVE portion at all. The PVE is also good too, but its mainly a PVP game. Try it out if you can spare the money to buy the game.
i would add a nod to guild wars as well. when i played it there was a significantly younger community than i am used to in an mmo. that was a year ago, but worth checking out.
"There are at least two kinds of games.
One could be called finite, the other infinite.
A finite game is played for the purpose of winning,
an infinite game for the purpose of continuing play."

ur best bet would be shadowbane.. 9dragons isnt really a pvp game.. its more pve then most asian mmos. conquer online is a botfest and u need big real life cash for dragonballs
MMOs currently playing: -
About to play: Lord of the Rings Online
Played: Anarchy Online (alltime favorite) and lots of f2p titles (honorable mentions: 9Dragons, Martial Heroes, Dekaron, Atlantica Online)
Play fury online. Its a great F2p game! Is good for all ages. Does have a steep learning curve though
