AOC is fun if you like to pve and accept a poorly designed non functional crafting system. If you thought that there was some thought put into pvp...wrong.Just a gank feast...thats whats been served up.Hey the games environment is pretty....just don't look at at all the brown similar looking player clothes when thousands of armor sets were cited in the FC game hype.
Yeah..I'm angry.I have followed this game for about 3 years....closely...bought the CE....early entry...etc etc. Pretty environment...stable...and more quests at least at lower levels that you ever wanted to grind through.
Some of us...clearly not all....expected more.We didn't get it and we don't feel like paying for beta after being dupped by VG not that long ago. If you want a pretty pve game AOC has joined a long list of those kinds of games. NEXT.
I agree with the OP....I brough Mass Effect at the same time as AOC, and yesterday I played that instead of even bothering to log on AOC.... Nothing grabs me...Nothing says....'This is why you need to keep playing!!!' At all....
did they change the game for the PC version? or is it a 100% identical?
after playing Oblivion for a very long time, I am looking for a new solo game....
and how is mass effect anyway ?
ME for PC has a better inventory system, better squad command system and higher res graphics than the 360 version. So yeah, it looks better and plays better
The game is awesome on both systems though
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"

thanks! I guess I will get it asap!
have to let it ship from GB though, because I only play in English but I do not know if the game has all languages included in my countries edition....
does anyone know if releases in Europe all have English as an option?
I'm not quiet as disillusioned as the OP about the game but what he posted is certainly mostly valid. The game has a lot of broken features, a general lack of good content (too many go here and kill 15 human quests). The combat system turns out to be more of a disadvantage than anything at higher levels, most of my guild has rerolled caster. The PvP is a complete joke with a lot of 1 hit kills and generally terrible balance. Simple things like crafting, the trader, item stats etc don't even work. Overall I find the game a disappointment and I'm not sure it is fixable because a lot of the problems were with design decisions on their part.
If you haven't bought the game yet and can't decide if you want to I would wait at least a month and see what happens. I just cannot suggest this game to someone who isn't sure whether they want to play it or not.

I have to say, why write all of this?
Anyone who played the game and isnt in denial knows this ... and are very disappointed
the game is broken beyond belief/repair
it just cant be fixed within a reasonable amount of time, and thus RMS Titanic comes to mind
the real question here isnt what the hell they were doing for 5 years? and why this game looks like a failed XBOX title
its what MMO will we go back to :P
i just wish WAR would be out by now so i could forget all about AoC
