This is the reply from Gamestop, Target and Walmart stores in my area. I was talking to a friend at work about this game, so he wanted to give it a shot. We went to 2 targets, a walmart and 2 gamestops, all were sold out of Age of Conan and we waiting for more copies to arrive. So.. the haters who dont play keep talking and more people keep buying the game an actually playing. That is what the real public option is about. I get full server login wait still at times on tyrannt server.
Rofl, IMHO this is a very good game, of course it has some bugs, what game doesn't. But again IMHO, this is going to be a huge game (already has one of the largest sub bases now), there is so much potential and the PvP is a blast. It will all come down to if Funcom can deliver with the patches like they said, and so far I have looked forward to their patches as opposed to other games where you would shutter at the thought...

been sold out in sweden for about 8 days now
No hater, even though i don t like the game and have cancelled, but there are plenty of copies out there. Theres 10i believe at my local EB Games.
Go back to enjoying your game instead of worrying about sales. If you enjoy your game you do not need to hype it. Just go play it.
i think aoc haters dont have rigs that can handle it thats the problem.
edit:misread the whole thing.
It's sold out on play.com in the UK think there is still some more on Amazon/Game because I just ordered my girlfriend one (she is going to play it even if I have to force her!).

That's the thing. People on forums like this isn't even one percent of the total sales. Hell the average Joe doesn't even bother to read the official forums. They can nag and whine all they like, but in the end it won't make any difference whatsoever. None.
Distribution is never perfectly aligned with demand, therefore there's bound to be places that don't have a copy, while others have quite a few on hand. Neither fact proves much of anything.
We know the game is selling pretty well, and the servers are full atm. Of course, the vaunted 30 day mark is coming up and we'll see how many folks decide to stay on in the next few months.

Meh useless post, almost every shop in the UK has many many many copies on the shelves maybe you just live in a small town??
Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
Best Buy has it on sale for $39.99 this week, and was just at the 3 Best Buys near here and the shelves are loaded, yet they are sold out of the freaking HDMI adapter I need for the other tv.
GameStop/EB wont carry more than 5 copies of anything not WoW, and even then its getting hard to see copies of any PC games in the stores seeing as they have them limited to this tiny ass rack in the darkest corner of the shop.
Target still has a few copies though, and I am even suprised Walmart would carry the game (though the 2 really close to me dont carry any PC games save for Deer Hunter...) due to the whole Mature rating.
Its all pretty much the way the games are distributed. They will have different expectations for different regions, sometimes they figure wrong so areas get shorted while others have a glut.

Haha, no shit about EB/Gamestop. I stopped even going into those 2 shitholes long ago. You wanna drop my PC games I'll just stop coming in jerkoffs.

Aye, true words. Nothing we really say here will make any difference on sales, other than maybe a quarter of a percent of buyers or haters. So I don't understand the desperate attempts for people to buy this game or throw it in the trash with either extremely long rants or made-up statistics.
If only SW:TOR could be this epic...
Come to Paris. There are over 20 copies each in Fnac, Virgin mega store and Surcouf. So i should assume AOC isn't selling well in Paris? What a stupid way to analyze if game is successful or not.

AH HA HA! Sorry that had me literally lol... my local gamestop has a huge arsenal of the stupidest console games I've ever seen... and then there's a corner with a tiny rack of maybe 2 or 3 PC games.
If only SW:TOR could be this epic...
Eh, Best Buy here still has the same 2 shelves full of copies of AoC.
