im new to the game and today is the first update ive had to wait for and mine has been stuck at 2 percent is that normal its been that way for almost 45 minutes

It's normal when a big update comes around. Everyone tries to update at the same time. So, you're going to get errors or something to that effect.

It's a huge update and everyone wants it. They normally go smoother than this but it's just a huge patch.
