Has there been any patches to lower the system req. and make the game easier to play. I have an average computer that can support most mmo's. But when it came to AoC there was a few i didnt meet. Enough to be unable to play the game. I plan on upgrading but not sure when.

then you don't have an average pc. you have a low end pc if it does not meet the min requirements which are pretty low.
Hi Mach,
check this site www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest and see what you need to upgrade in order to attend the AoC requirements... I'm not sure what do you call an average computer, but any processor with more then 2.8 GHz is avg and will attend... plus 2GB Ram, a good vid card (you can even use an AGP with 256MB) and hard drive space... for what i see, this is an avg config... any less then that is great for office and internet stuff, but no new game will perform good.
PS: Note that the processor doesn't need to be duo core, can be a single core.
no its meets them. but you very well have to beat the minimum requirements.
I think it's more of my video card. It does not support shadow module which is a key to run AoC.
probably is... is a very usual issue depending on how old is your vid card...
I will probably buy a better one that can support the game. Are they making patches to lower the standards?
no
Of course not the minimum standards are already pretty low for an average Computer.
Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981
