Am I crazy to think this...
Take an MMO like World of Warcraft and then don't use their pen and paper books to run a typical questing games.
Take it and run a strategy game. I was looking at the Ambassadors for the Horde at the blood elve city and I was thinking:
"Wow, wouldn't it be cool if I was playing a pen and paper (or PBEM) game where each person ran one part of the Horde and they had to decide to allow admittance to the horde, or how to respond to night elf incursions..."
A strategic level rpg based on a MMO as source material but not played in the MMO itself, with a GM to set up interesting events and keep everyone from "God Moding"?
Crazy?
