I can't say anything because of the NDA but...

    Yeah. You're wrong.

there was a leak that they just added shaders and higher resolution textures to the beta client.

without shaders everything is going to look flat, and muted. IE before good shaders were developed.

higher resolution textures would add crispness and more detail to things.

I'm in the beta, and all I can say is.....

    I'm in the beta.

Argh... almost a curse to be in it.  (almost)

Not if it's about ingame content I think, for the same reason he can't say it sucks or looks horrible :)

People can say the are in the beta.  They can also say that are not in the beta (most people are not in the beta).  You can also say I was in the beta but left beta.  You could also say I am in beta and can't see leaving the beta.

ive been thinking the same thing for a long time. the character models look great and so do the buildings but the environments look bland and barren. i dont see ambience anywhere. i cant wait to play the game but im hoping they fill in all of the blanks in the environmental detail. i enjoy those little special things and details in environments. things that create more immersion. its boring to see a nice building and thats it. theres nothing else around it just flat ground. no detail or not enough detail all around the area. im hoping they fill in the landscape everywhere.

BLAND, Empty and devoid of anything which might give character to the game.

This is the open area's im talking about. The towns and cities look quite good though!

Naasty brown shades, spare tree's, the odd fairy might pop up, needs a lot of work on the game.

Why doesn't someone post a video or a screenshot to explain why they think so?

Sounds like the Eastern Plaguelands from WoW. Sorry, not everything can be magical and bright, not in every game.

A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"
