Alittle Help!

I'm having trouble removing this heatsink, it's unlike any others i've seen. It has 2 steel clips, or grips on top , near the fan. I'm not sure how to remove the heatsink.. Here's a picture.

I'm upgrading from a Intel pentium 4 3.06ghz, to a Intel core 2 duo. 2.4ghz.

Any chance of a bigger picture, search Google for the manufacturer of the fan or the whole pc if that's the way you bought it, and check there forums, also can check the box it came in for a web address, also have a search thru this site, http://www.tomshardware.com/index.html
you will need a more detailed picture if you want a more detailed answer sorry.
    hope this helps.

Push the tab outwards on each clip.

Also, i have another problem, does my motherboard support a Intel Core 2 duo 2.4ghz E6600 processor? I currently have a Intel Pentium 4. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-81915PMD. 4x slots DDR2 ram, 1x Pci-e.  My cpu socket it LGA775, both processors are the same slot.

Nope, that motherboard won't support Intel Core 2's.
