Bugs:
Many. There's a bug that prevents turrets from appearing destroyed. A bug that prevents you from seeing the true location of a
playerattacking your planet. A bug that prevents the turrets from fireing on them. A bug that stops all damage being taken. The
UN ability to learn the location of evil players is broken, several of the ship special abilities don't work, or work
counterintutivly.(whale repel dosen't repel nukes for instance)
Balance:
There isn't any. Some of the ships are grossly superior in every way to others. Of course they are more expensive. Of course
they can be bought with RL cash. There is no balance between defense versus attack. Unless you are in an attack ship, you can be
ganked and ganked easily. Planets can't be effectivly defended against anything. It takes 6 hours to build a planet and 30
minuets to destroy one.
Community/Bug support:
There isn't any. I have never once heard of anyone haveing a help ticket, an email, a official message board post replied to.
The devs are non existant for the all part for all players. Reports of hacking go unanswered.(I know, I was the hacker)
I Won my Game:
This isn't the point of view of a loser. This is the point of view of someone who won their game. I did what it took, even if I
didn't really enjoy it. I killed, I ganked. I destroyed every colony I came across. I exploited the bounty system to stay a
"Good Guy" and I won. I still don't like the game.
Synoposis:
This game isn't worth playing. Unless you are a very poor griefer, or a very rich griefer. Or a hacker. You can't get anywhere
in the game without spending $$, griefers rule the game and always win, it's open season for hackers. I suppose a masochist
would enjoy it......
If you do have the money to spend, and are a griefer or not, there are better games for your dollar.

Xira, I agree with the majority of what you have said, but there are several points where I think you are wrong:
1) You don't have to use a credit card to excel in this game. I have never used a credit card and in my last game I finished in 6th place with over 63K experience. In addition, it WAS a People-Killing game, and I DID NOT have any Admiral Points from a Recommendation Bonus.
2) The $2 Million Imperial Starcruiser IS attainable without buying credits with Real-Life money. Not only did I have that ship, but I had it with all cargo holds, full shields, and a graviton beam. I was able to do this because I formed a corporation with another player who was evil (and WAS NOT using a credit card). He would fund me while I would keep the corporation at a high rank, as well as perform various other tasks that I was most suited for. I have found that corporations with one high-quality good player and one high-quality evil player do very well because the two can support each other.
3) If you don't use a credit-card, you can't win, but you can still do very well. In my last game I was ranked 6 overall, and was the top non-credit card user. In addition, my corporation was number 2.
4) I strongly disagree with how you feel about the game's administrative support. I have e-mailed the admin on several occasions, both over the internet and in-game, and have always had quick and helpful feedback. However, I have never had any feedback on the /bug command, which the developer himself said he does not check very often.
Another thing I think I will include. Several of the weapons in this game have longer range than turrets....This means that the turrets can for the most part be killed without repercussion. Several times I was able to totally destroy a colony by photon torpedoing the turrets into dust from well out of their range then makeing a run for the base past the solar cannon.
The only time I actually had to kill ANY turrets was when they were placed at the entrance to a base where the base was behind a long curve that brought it withen range of solarcannon to the entrance.
I have used a credit card in one game, but i did not win.
Ever since then I have not used a credit card and have come almost always in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position. I normally use my main char Lewdog, but I have also used Spankme, Choose, SlimChance (or stm to that effect), Redbaron (once, someone has used this in the past), and the latest one ButaBing.
So it is possible to win without using a CC.

Againe, you can do very well without paying. But a good player who uses a credit card will beat out a good player who dosen't, simply because they can play longer if nothing else.
I would say that my main dissapointment in this game, and the reason I wrote such a negative review(that I will be changeing a bit after my test in diff equations), is that colony building is simply such a counter-productive activity. I am a builder at heart, not a PK, and this isn't a builder's game, despite the obvious amount of work the devs put into that section of the game. Makeing a colony just isn't worth it, if naught else they can be taken by 2 guys useing whales or a great player in an escape pod.
I have suggestions of course. True laser point-to-point turrets. Selling turrets in stacks of 5, lowering the price on them, makeing them regenerate hitpoints, ectera. It should take 5-6 good players attacking at once to take a fully defended(denoted by the inability to place more turrets) colony, not one guy with 30 minuets on his hands. By all means though if you know a way to make a colony untakeable by 1 guy, please tell me, I doubt such a method exists though.....You can make it expensive, you can make it time consumeing, but ultimatly the better defended the colony is the more worthwhile it is to take it over...
