Noob question but how do i change servers?

I need to change my server to a more populated one how might i go about doing that?

you pay for a server swap but i reccomend leaving the game, surely if youve hit level 20+ youve noticed it has nothing, killing gods is the endgame, dysmal pvp and the last boss they put in like 8 months ago still isnt downed. and the sad thing is, a game like this that is rediculously boring, isnt even a matter of skill or story line, sure there are characters from the original story but past that it's the same summons / gods with no dialog.. get WoW or be an AoC fanboi, ffxi died a long long time ago before they even mentioned a need for parties after level 10 and the 5 hour wait for the 15 minute grind..

Looks like someone got burned on their fanny. One of the most played MMO's ever after being out for 6 years. Yeah, such a dead game... Sarcasm aside...

I think you have to go through POL to do a server transfer. I haven't done it myself, so I can't really say how. You might want to try going to the FFXI wiki for that by going here. Hope that helps.

I just wanted to point out the many flaws in your statements.  Level 20+ is far from dead, it weeds out the most dedicated players from those just looking for an easy cap.  PvP is dismal because it's not a PvP game, it's a PvE.  The game is far from boring, it's about the friendships built while completing quests and missions, not simply leveling.  I have always enjoyed this game, and that's why I'm having my 3rd tour of it now.

I played WoW for 6 months.  I found the leveling process boring and tedious.  The linear story was boring.  I hate having directions handed to me on a silver platter.  FFXI doesn't give me directions, it lets me find my own path and create my own history.  My path isn't set in stone and the limits are only ones I place in it.

Now, this game is far from dead.  It's the third largest MMO franchise, the top two being Lineage and WoW, and numbers say a lot in the MMO market.

I just wanted to further point out that there is many places to post here and if  you dont like Final Fantasy XI then could you write there. Seriously the poster did not ask your opinion on the game he wanted FACTS on how to use the transfer program. I am 5 years into the FFXI with some 640 days playtime now and your "opinions" are from someone who is not into Final Fantasy nor really got to far into  this online MMORPG.
