Eve like games?

I'm looking for a new game, I used to be really into Eve online but I grew tired of it. What I really liked about the game was the economy and the fact that if you die, your ship goes with you.

I hear Pirated of the burning sea is a lot like eve but from what I've been reading on the forums its not doing that well..
