Hello everyone, I've been looking for a new game to play and i've looked at both of these and they seem like good choices. The obvious issue i'm having is they don't lack a trial for the general public and as noone i know plays these games I have no way to try them.
If anyone has a trial for either of these games could you please PM me, or could we all just discuss which game is better?
I like the MMORPG style of vangaurd and it's been out a while so most of the early glitches should be gone, however i've heard good things about Guildwars PVP.
Let me know what you all think!
P.s. I'm also looking for people to play with as I don't know anyone in these games, if any guild is looking for a new member I like meeting new people

Well, you are talking about two completely different games here. Apples and oranges really. Guild Wars is an online game with multiple players, but it is not a true mmo. You meet up with other players in the towns and outposts but once you leave to do quests it instances your party. So you don't encounter anyone while you are out exploring the countryside. That being said it is a very good game with a lot of choices for your character and many skills to choose from. There is also no monthly fee and you can pick up the original game for about 30 or 40 bucks. There are also three seperate campaigns with different storylines. You can buy and play these in any order. In addition to that they have the Eye of the North expansion.
Vangaurd is a huge game. Their attempt at a persistent world was maybe a little too ambitious. You're also looking at some steep system requirements and 20 GB of hard drive space for install. I've seen lots of reports about the game getting better but for the price I would try Guild Wars and if it's not for you then move on to another. You could also try Lord of the Rings or EQ2. Both of which have trials.
