For a game based on barbarians..this sure has a lot of fireballs...

It's growing and it's scaring me,

I thought this game was about sword play, barbarians, ect ect, but it's become quite apparent to me that it's turned into a robe wearing fire ball heaving, fairy loving ghey fest.

Especially with the combo systems which to my knowledge system the casters dont have to participate in, totally throws the game off balance.

I wanted this game to be the best, I at least wanted a SWG killer, but FFS the class imbalance and lack of higih end content I find it harder and harder to bring myself to log in.

:

/sigh.

Why do Funcom call them mages ? Shouldn't it be wizards to suit the lore more?

I have read all the REH Conan books, and I do agree that Conan universe is primary a place for meleers, however it is all about balance: some freedoms had to be taken, if we only had the soldier and rogue archetypes the game would be incredibly dull by today's standards (as in comparing to other mmos). While focus on melee only with no spell casters or healers would make a good single player game, it would totally fail in the mmo world. All in all I think that Funcom made a pretty good job at keeping the game diverse class wise while still following the Conan lore.
