ive been looking at games that have good player housing in them and guess what they all f***ing cost. my moms a B**** and wont pay money for those games. soo does anyone know a free game that lets you build a house with a little variation (with more than 1 house type)

I don't even know how to reply to this. So, your mother doesn't want to spend the money that she or your father has earned on video games. Sounds like a good mother to me.

Do what I did when I was younger. Get a job.

 i have the money to pay for it she just wont let me enter her credit card on thier websites because she "doesn't trust them" if i sneak it she'll know. everytime she uses it they send her and email at her work. the only way to get her work email is to go to her work. if you dont work there then you cant get in. no guests allowed.

Ok, well you don't want to go down that path.

What about time cards?

Also, and You will have to do a bit of digging, you can get a type of credit card where you send the CC company money and you are then sent a card.

This could actually be a good thing and of course you will want to speak with your mother  about it. You can send them, say 100.00 or so and you will get a card with a 100.00 limit. This will build up your Credit and will give you a taste of how to manage your finances. Your mother might be impressed if you actually find out about this, especially if you are using your own money with the idea that you are learning about how to manage money.

I know citibank is a reputable Credit CArd company as well as capital one.

Ya ever heard of a game time card? They're available at most gaming stores...

I still think you should look into the secured credit card as it is never to late to learn how to manage money and build up credit. However, there are games that have housing that do have game time cards such as "The Lord of the Rings" and I beleive there is a Sony card for their games, Everquest II being the one that I am thinking of that has housing. Also Star Wars Galaxies which is an older game.

 i had one but i didn't even think of those. its basicly a gift card you can use anywhere its accepted. i think banks sell them.

Actually that is better. What I was talking about (and it might be different now) is very very similar to what you found. I think you should get the purchase card. Now, I don't want you to get in trouble and your mother is the law until you are out, so just tell her what you are going to do. As long as she is fine with how you use your money then you are all set.

The other option is the secured card which actually acts as a credit card but I thnk they keep your money as "assurance" that you will pay it back. So you give them 200.00 and then you have a credit limit of 200 which they then expect you to pay back. It's as if you are financially backing your own credit card (I believe that's how it works). Eventually you will build up a credit score and can apply for a regular one, they give you your 200 dollars back. Just double check (if you should ever go this route) that you do get your money back. It shouldn't be a problem though. This is how people with no credit or bad credit can create or repair their credit score.

However, as long as the Gift Card is something that works (and it seems like it does) I think that is a winner right there. Good job. 

You see? You have just embarked upon your first road toward being financially responsible and handling your money by doing research and finding a good solution. You should be proud and quite frankly I think your mother (whether she agrees with how you want to use your money or not) would probably be impressed as well.
