I know that it might be a bit early to ask this and it might have been asked already but there's no fault in trying to keep the forums here alive imo so how are you limiting characters per server? Like, will it probably be like 5 characters per account per server or less or even like 10? I guess this can't be answered directly yet but an estimate to what you'd like to have in and your general thoughts on the subject would be very much appreciated.

Firstly, thanks for keeping these forums alive.
Anyway, if I understand correctly, you are wondering how many accounts we get per player? At the moment, we only know that players will have the ability to make alts without paying for another account...it is not sure how many alts per account though
As forf your second question, I remember Jatar spoke about the servers awhile ago. The servers aren't like any other game... In some way, you just click your character and click play..once you do this, it then magically puts you into the server that most of your friends/guilds are on. You are never stuck to one server, and you constantly move about servers to be with your friends, guild etc. (it does this automatically). Wether players have the ability to switch servers on their own is something I am not sure of.
As for the amount of players per servers, I have no idea.

Hi and no I'm not wondering how many accounts we get per player (if in some way by that you mean total amount of character slots on one account then yes that's what I mean.) I only use one account when playing a game, I never multibox if that's what you were thinking. I'm wondering, on one account, how many characters (character slots) can we have / do we get in total. Since this game let's you go through everything on one character I guess one doesn't need more then one but different people have different reasons for wanting more then one character to play on (mind you I'm not an alt crazy person.)
The main reason for me would be that the game will feature several races so being stuck with one would be a somewhat letdown for me. I am not a roleplayer type of person and neither have I ever really roleplayed before but the reason I have never done so is because to date there haven't been a game that has had such a level of immersion in which I could have done that (from the games I have played that is.) Another reason being that most games I've played has had a pretty lousy playerbase (oh and perhaps because I have never tried playing on a RP server, hehe.)
This post is getting a little long winded now so I guess I should sum it up. Since the game allows you to gain every skill there is on one character I think that it would be nice if you could be able to have one character slot per race, I think that would be really appropriate. So if CoS has six playable races then you'd have six character slots.
The different type of server setup they will be using sounds interesting, a change in the world of MMORPG's is something we (the MMORPG playerbase) badly need now (in my opinion.) Of course it doesn't help to stress it, but I'm really hyped about this game and hope it will be a good one and the sooner I get to try it the better

The simple answer to your question is that we haven't set the exact amount of alts allowed per account, but it will likely be between 5 and 10.
As to wanting to play more alts so you can experience different races, there are some interesting twists to the game and story that affect this.... but we aren't talking about that yet.
Just be advised that you can play alts if that's what you want to do.
As for servers, Mike470 had it correct, but what he didn't state was that players can move servers anytime they want, quickly and simply. I mean, if you think about it, if we are attempting to place you on a server with all your friends or guild members. This is impossible to achieve with 100% accuracy. What if most of your friends are on one server, and a few on another. We would put you with the majority. But what if you wanted to group up with those few on the other server? In this case we put you on the wrong server. You can then simply switch to the other sever in a few seconds and can now group up with those other friends. (or, they could come to your sever, either way works). Of course, there is more to this than this simple explanation, but you cam get the general idea from this example.
Everything you said sounds awesome! About what you said with interesting twists, it seems that you guys have alot of those at hand which I think sounds really good (not trying to usher fanboism here, or perhaps I am, hehe.) Like what's been stated on the CoS website that you will be featuring new concepts and approaches. Am I tired of the traditional mundane type of MMORPG's? yes... yes! and YES! We seriously need a breath of fresh air and by the looks of it CoS will be one of the few (if not the only) game that will deliver a major change to the world of MMORPG's.
I know that it's still a pretty long time until this game see's the light of day but I have been close to giving up on the MMO(RPG) world as of late and so a game that can give me a proper jolt in the right direction is such a welcoming sight. I just have to say that the first time I visited the CoS website I thought (when I saw that it was written on the website that the CoS company thought they could bring a better MMORPG to the world then anything that they've seen already) that you guys were being a bit cocky (what can I say, first type of impression of statements on MMORPG's under development on their own websites, quite a few of those) but now I don't think so at all.
Thanks for the answers Jatar, it's really appreciated
(And I really hope that you guys will be getting some more screenshots or / and perhaps even a movie out soon, that would be great.)

I'm right there with you Robert.
I love the concept of CoS, and it's finally something different than the average game. I look forward to doing interesting quests, which finally make me use my mind, where I CAN'T find the quests on some site on the internet. I love great quests, and this is why I think I (and many other players) will enjoy CoS.
Oh, and I agree, I would love to see some videos and screenshots of the new art revamp once it is ready to be shown! But to speak the truth, in a game with all the features of CoS, graphics aren't even important compared to gameplay...Gameplay over graphics any day IMO.
Oh, and a quick question for Jatar:
Will this new site have official forums??
Just had to ask.

Maybe, but with official forums comes official work. Forums take a lot of moderation or you end up with all kinds of spam and porn (or porn spam). Not to mention users posting foul language, hate messages etc.
Our team is focused on creating the game and we don't want to spend assets on moderating forums.right now, which is why we don't have them yet. Typically forums are put up by the publisher of the game, not the developer.
Understood. I understand moderating boards can be time consuming.
I actually know of several games that just shut down the official forums because they found themselves having to moderate them more than actually working on the game.
It's nice to know that you're waiting until the development is ready. I'll just be in this section of the forums for a while.

Lol I though of that but decided not to speak for you. Moderating takes alot of time and I MEAN ALOT.

Yes, that is true, but I've always liked the ideas of taking shifts. Like from X-Y Mike will moderate them, and from Y-Z Tdog will cover them.
It would all be voulantary too, cause the #1 fanboi doesn't need money!

Sorry for the necromancy, but they have just gained their first #1 fangirl
My friend 'Greybeard' offered to host the forums free (and moderate them) on his own site, on his own time, and got pretty much the same answer as you did, so don't feel bad

That's different. So I don't have to choose the server I'm on to start the game. From what you said the game puts me on a different server each time (depending on where the majority of my friends are located), and we can move anytime we want. What about ping times? If I'm put on a server with a bad ping time (lag), or it gets crowded, can we just move?
Yes, we're setting up the system so that players can switch servers whenever they wish. This can be for whatever reason they choose, a faster server, less or more crowded, where certain friends or guild members are currently. Whatever reason you want.
