This latest Badge fiasco on SWG has got the players macro bowing compulsively. I LOL'd IRL at these screenshots. You just can't make this stuff up !

I remember when vader had to smack down every mouthy person that came close to him...i think I even got a DB from him one time for being /slap at him..lol....but...maybe it was my buddy that got db...too funny..

These guys never seem to test anything...and they've been making that same mistake for five years now.
I don't begrudge anyone who makes a mistake of this type, but the problem is, they never learn anything.
CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

someone spread that rumour and it was kinda wrong but it was fun to watch.. suffice it to say that after people who were doing no bowing got the badge instead everyone stopped..

A quick glance at the official forums can show that the real issue players are having is not so much the bowing (but that is a problem) but that the badge is randomly given out to one player (per faction) per hour. People are receiving hate spam when they are called on by Vader or Leia and may or may not be able to respond in time due to excessive lag. Also, AFK and LD characters are being called on instead of players ATK.
Until you cancel your subscription, you are only helping to continue the cycle of mediocrity.

you know, its so sad that they have to resort to badge to keep people interested in a game. it really, really is. what? does it hurt that much to put in more content, or dare i say, something interesting such as capital ships?

i used to LOVE going badge questing pre cu...and some cu....that's what made swg worthy..
if u got tired of combat, you could bust out your droid engineer and craft....or go shopping in valley of death (bria maybe only had that city on tat..not sure never played any other servers)...or u could go explore a strange new world.....
they just don't get it... it was the most unique game before the nge.....now it's just another wow clone...and a poorly done one.

I agree completely... i miss that a lot about the game. Personally i bought A LOT of gear in the valley of death... i think thats where i bought all my heavy shields for my yt-1300 and the y-8

The funniest part of it is that the vast majority of the spamming and bowing is being done by one severely mentally challenged individual. This of course fills up the log making it look like there are a lot of people there.

Pardon me but.........Were you ever at an Event, Protest, Etc during PRECU?
Anybody got screenshots of the WOOKIE protests in Theed and Corenet (split protests due to Lag) on live servers PRECU about the need for armor? And I'm talking about all servers not just the most populated 3-4 nowadays........Ya theres quite a few people in the screenshot but this is barely comparison to just one SPECIES during the PRECU era.

It's just a common theme with the SWG devs, they just never think things through. Surely five minutes considering the problems they could have with this system would have brought stuff like this to light, but no, they just go ahead and do it anyway. They are very short-sighted and always have been.

According to the forums thread, it looks like it's going through alphabetical order per hour, most servers' firsts started with an "A".
And I think they did this on purpose to make people waste their frigging time logged on, pretty much another carrot on the stick method. One of the dumbest events I've seen anyways.

Special thanks to SOE for being a blight upon society and certainly existence, i mean come on players in the community strive to be rewarded and acknowledged for there effort , they don't want to be mocked. I mean whether or not we were alive during the showing of the first movies, starwars is a huge monument to creativity and has entertained millions, how could you ruin something so stable, something so good?
