How do you destroy something that doesn't exist?
Since not one game has launched 100% bug-free and content full, then we have all paid for beta. And if your still playing the game, then your still playing for beta. This goes for everygame, because every mmo out there has bugs/missing content/server outages still. This is how MMORPG's will always be. For you WAR fans, call up Mythic and ask them if there game will be 100% content full and ready to go on release. I bet you half them will say no, if they still have jobs, heh. This crap is luducris people, this is what an mmorpg is. A game in development. Your 15 bucks a month and 50 bucks for the dvd's is an investment. And don't give me the bullshit, well would you buy a car with only 3 tires? This game and a car/orange/whatever the hell you want insert there cannot be compared. They are two totally different things. Want a comparison, men vs. women. Theres your freaking comparison, go for it. AoC is a niche game with a decent size fanbase. Your 5 sec topic threads won't hurt it. If you think your paying to play beta, then DONT freakin pay. How simple is that? Get over whatever complex you have with society and move the hell on.
ok so you are a "conformist" gamer willing to pay xxxx $ a mont for an unfinished product once and again ,,, if less "conformism" was shown by the large ammount of mmoers like you, we would get BETTER products at launch. So it's only your faul (and the others like you) we get such trash to p2p for 4 and some months. MAYBE not everyone is as stupid as you and thats why they criticise these products because honestly ...from the bottom of my heart (thats a lvl 62 Cimmerian barbariam) this game is JACK...

In the essence of a mmo, you paying for development would consist of new content and new mechanics.
Paying for them to fix bugs that should have been fixed long ago is just silly. Bugs, especially knwon bugs should be taken care of before release. FC did nto take care of knwon bugs. they released a buggy game. A buggy half ass release is not something you should put up with.
Pairing new content patches and new mechanics in the same area as fixing bugs is silly. Players should see games progress with new content. That is what you continually pay money for. Paying them to fix bugs that mess up the very gameplay of a game is just BS.

Well... actually some silly people did actually pay to beta test. The Official beta test not the unofficial beta test that is now running.
Be paid for Beta Testing, don't pay to Beta Test.

How is it it's my fault as a consumer, that me paying for a faulty product ruins things for you, or anyone else for that manner. So your going to sit here and tell me how I live my life affects how you live yours? Seriously? I've got to say, this is the most outrageous/scary thing I've heard in quite sometime. I'm almost wondering if your watching me secretly and I just don't know it. What I buy has nothing to do with the effect of product's and consumer's. If so, we would all be still using WINME, because that sold alot of copies, but have you seen anyone still run that OS? It's not my fault for playing something I enjoy, which is entertainement, and you don't. It's called living in the REAL WORLD, and making your own decisions. Not letting something like my opinon think it will effect everyones. We actually think AoC is a good product and shows promise. Yes they have there fault's, and that's why I pay a monthly fee to them. To see them make a better product. If you know anything about game development, you would know how stressful and challenging it can be. Have you ever gone to a GDC, or a Blizzcon and talked with any game developer's? Trust me when I say the life isnt great. The pay maybe, but the actual job, especially when your high up and dealing with investor's, plain sucks.
But for you to sit here and blaim me, a person who takes entertainment for what it's worth, and just enjoys gaming, as the source of your functional problem is just sad. Wake up and smell the coffee. Just because 10 million people buy a shitty product, doesn't mean every product after will be of less quality. That's just not how shit works. Ya dig?
