As the title says, /Sign if you are installing or have re-installed Vanguard because of the recent email sent around letting you play for pretty much all of July.
I'm installing the game as we speak. It says alot to me that SOE ( as many bad points the company may have) is giving people that bought the game at launch a chance to try it again free of cost. It also means that if I dont like it i dont feel like I've lost the money for the months subscription :P

I'd like to sign.. I got the email but account isn't on. Wrote SOE account support and they said my account wasn't off long enough to qualify..
Now I did have station access but not for 4 months or more.. have all the other "come back" offers active (eq1/2/swg).
Would have liked to see the changes oh well...
Sorry to hear that Antarious, if you really want to try the game there is always the option of asking for a friend code, that will give you some free days at least...

I was actually on my way to start a Everquest subscription through the Station Launcher, when I saw that Vanguard was open too.
I went into the game to see what the anti-hitching/compiling shaders did to the game, and ended up starting a new char on Halgar

The odd part is I only beta tested it, never bought it...

I just got a new laptop with 4gbs of ram and a 8800 in it so this should be fun
Been having a lot of fun in EQ1 lately, though. So we'll see 
Thinking about it.
Thought it was quite a good game when I played the first 2 months after release. Loved the deplomacy part but thought it could be expanded a great deal. At least my PC is capable of running it above low settings now

I installed it and to see if it got any better and I ended up playing for a half an hour and uninstalled it cuz my computer still cant play it decent. Once I get my new computer Ill give it another try. I love the concept of this game I just cant run it the quality that I want. IT looks ok on balanced but I get hitching and when my character runs the animation just looks horrible.. I tried a lower setting still same thing. So I decided to just see how the game looked on best graphics and I did notice that some things just looked shiny that really shouldnt be or rather it looked like it had a sparkle to it. Tree bark and the leaves just were glittery and rocks just looked shiny.
FFXI had a problem with this too and you could go into the registry and tone that down so it looked better. Hope once I get my new computer the game will run better and I can tone down the sparkles and what not and hopefully my character running will look more smooth. I love the fact that this is a huge open world complex crafting and all but my computer just cant handle this game.
try next week....another patch to fix some hitching and pauses for low-mid end computers....

I think I am in the "havent been unsubed for long enough" catagory as well, way to go on sending me the email for nothing, if they want to earn my sub back, maybe they should show me they have some kind of intelligence happening over there...

Having said that, I cant seem to get into it, and I still cannot place the reason why... I guess i'll keep trying. :x
I really wish it were easier to get ships too, 'cause those were always a big selling point for me (even the little ones). Cheapest Sloope or whatever they'er called is 60gold. XD Ah well!
Maybe I'm just choosing the wrong race too, what's a good place to start in? ANyone know?

Heh yeah. Don´t judge Kojan until you have visited Caial Brael and turned the music louder. Impressive vocal tune there.
Just got mine patched up today..
I posted several warnings on their forums that I would not be back if they made the loot and customization changes... and I won't. Even if they have resumed or about to resume of those those affected items I won't be back. They won't listen to their customers - F' them.
