thanks "superniceguy" for mentioning that SWG is open to returning vets to try out again.

 

i hopped on, tried it out for a few mins.  logged off. 

 

i'd like to make a suggestion.  i've always been a believer that the pen is a mighty instrument. or keyboard in this case.  if you have some constructive thoughts about what SOE should do, should have done, in regards to SWG--the game we all loved, then why not use the free trial to log into the forums and make a CONSTRUCTIVE post about that.

 

 

would be a chance for SOE (whoever is left there) to see that so many folks still really do care about preNGE and have strong feelings about it.  the only way that a mistake will never be made like that again is for our voices to be heard.  if you even write your thoughts with some detail and thoughtfulness, the devs might not dismiss them.

 

i'm not saying it would cause any rift in the space time continuum but some future game-honcho could be reading or a current game honcho. you never know.  don't let this issue die!

 

just a thought. i already left my note on the Gameplay Discussion forums over there.

Because SOE doesn't allow trial accounts to post on their forums.  They allowed it for the very first vet trial, and the OBoard was filled with tons of posts about what the vets didn't like about the game.  The fact is, without a complete revamp of the core game, something that the developers have said they will not do, there is nothing that can be done to fix SWG.  The problem with the current version of the game is the core game system itself, and no amount of tweaks, busywork collections, or cookie cutter content is going to fix it.

That doesn't even begin to tackle the problem that SOE is comprised of people who are openly hostile toward their customers and hold said customers in outright contempt.

....they know what we think of the game. Believe me they know.

SOE talks to game media. They talk to other people who have MMORPGs out. They talk to people on the street. All of these people have told them what we think and about all the negative feedback about SWG.

We have posted on the SOE forums. Any post even the slightest bit critical is taken down immediately.

So as you can see, SOE doesn't care what we think.

Thus we are expected to play their game, give them money and ask/say nothing.

Why waste my time when I already have a pretty good idea what's going to happen?

I'm pretty sure i've posted on LEC forums...even called some poor gal in some call center to complain..she had no clue what i was talking about...typical.

 

I've written newspapers even....no one cares.....

There was an article that made it to print, (can't recall the paper, but wanted to say it was a major one like NYT, or wash post or something)...where one person... who just happened to be a press reporter also played the game and got her chance to vent about it .....a really good article and it summed up what we all felt and much more....to no avail..

 

we've all pounded the doors of everyone we can think of and they just slam it or hang up.

 

That is why....  my voice will ever speak to ANYONE in the MMo game world....at computer stores when I'm shopping...at electronics stores....any discussion of online....I make sure they know SOE is a company that will never deserve a dime.
