Hey everybody,
We just wanted to share the news with you that Katricia is no longer with Blizzard. She's pursuing other opportunities, and we wish her the best. Please continue posting in the forums as normal. We continue to read each post and will do our best to keep you well informed of what's happening in the game and why.
Please note that we're currently expanding our community team, and we expect to have a few new members on board in the near future. In the meantime, some of our other teams, including the World of Warcraft development team, have offered to spend some extra time in the forums, personally reviewing your suggestions, responding to your posts, and keeping you informed of new developments. You can check out some of the latest information we've posted here:

I'm sad to see her go but I think this thread would have been better off in the WoW forums rather than the General forums.
Anyways, best of luck to her but at least she'll still be around playing the game, just not as a Blizzard representative anymore.
That's shocking. She was one of the best staffers WoW had, and one of the best at smoothing over the... rough edges... of some of the dev's posts.
ok that link is working fine for everyone then?
I went to check the link i made then all of a suddun my I.E. started opening a bunch of windows that i could not stop. restarted, ran a virus scan found nothing.
hmmmmmmm
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Haha
Kat will be missed! I hope the new manager keeps us up to date with things and actually gets our questions to the devs Q/A team like kat did.

I am shocked more than anything to see Kat go, but you can only look forward and hope for the best. I think everybody would agree with me when I say Kat was something special on the Blizzard crew, she is not longer "working" on WOW, but she not leaving.
Peace out Kat

RISING DRAGOON ~AION US ONLINE LEGION for Elyos
From mourning the loss of a great asset to a great team to arguing over someone's personal life. That's nice.
Oh well, that's just how some people cope with losses. HAH! Anyway, I always looked forward to her releasing new information and calling for questions for the next Q&A. I know I am going to miss her because she has been working on this project ever since I first learned about this game and I always enjoyed everything she shared with the community.
Hopefully we can get someone that isn't afraid to try to live up to her "legacy" and that can be just as helpful to the community as she was. Well will miss you, Kat! Thanks for all the great stuffiz you did for everyone!
I know one thing though. I sure am gonna miss them Kat Kookies.
LMAO, thanks

whoa! you might wanna edit that last line of your post there lostcauz... somehow you threw a testicle into it, whether or not you meant to.
Anyways, I think I'd like to keep my Kat Kookies testicle free, thank you very much. You can do with 'em whatever you want, but... just keep that to yourself.

Eh.
Frankly, if it stops the 300lb virgins from endlessly posting their "Kat, acknowledge my existance on this message board because it's the closest I'll ever come to knowing the touch of a woman" posts, then her departure can only be seen as a good thing.
GFrazier was bad enough- a sociopath that actually got off on spreading disinformation, and ended up making Blizzard look bad with the offensive, juvenile nonsense that he posted on his private website but shared openly on the Game boards. But when Kat came on, the boards literally became unbearable. Had they quickly moved to ban the IPs of every single person that started their post with the word "Kat", I think they actually could have raised the average I.Q. of the board by about 60 points.
Sheese. I've never seen so many people who were so desperate to be mistaken for heterosexuals. "Kat, you're so cool!" "Thank you Kat! We LUUUUV U Kat"- the place became such a haven for creepy unwashed Stalkers that I wasn't just ashamed to be a gamer, I was embarrassed to be male. So in short, I agree that it's weird that someone would be disappointed that they "never got to know what she looked like". Who the hell cares what she looked like? She was an employee at a gaming company. Odds are she was 35, overweight, and had four kids, just like most MALE employees of software companies. It's just astounding that posting with a female name suddenly made every teenaged boy on the WoW boards utterly convinced that Kat was actually Britney Spears, and harbored a secret desire to make Hot Monkey Love with them at the very next tradeshow.
